We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Contract Lawyer to join our Legal Services Team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full-time, permanent basis.
As a Senior Contract Lawyer, you will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert within your area of legal specialism. You will help ensure the Council delivers on its vision, values and strategic objectives through the provision of clear, consistent and proactive legal support.

In this senior role, you will handle a varied and often complex caseload, including politically sensitive matters, exercising a high level of autonomy and professional judgement, and you will need to be a solution-focused negotiator with a strong sense of commercial risk. Job DescriptionSenior Court Officer - Debt Management TeamGrade ESalary: £39,027 - £44,463 per annum12 Months Fixed term37 Hours per WeekSituated on the River Thames, Thurrock is an ambitious unitary with vision and opportunities for its residents and businesses.Thurrock’s Debt Management Team is a highly recognised services having been nominated twice for the IRRV (Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation) Most Improved Team of the Year Award and was in the finalists in 2012 and achieved a Bronze Award in 2013.The team are currently looking for experienced Court Officers to join this dynamic team.
