The Hastings &amp; St Leonards Foreshore Charitable Trust is seeking an independent Protector to oversee the integrity of the charity’s administration and ensure compliance with its objectives.
As Protector, you will act as an impartial guardian of the Trust, ensuring its activities align with its charitable purposes. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the charity is administered with integrity and transparency, reporting any concerns to the Charity Commission, providing advice to the trustee, and undertaking tasks as required. You will also be responsible for preparing an annual statement of activities and findings for publication.

We deliver SENCo support through forums, induction, training, reflective practice and supervision.Opportunities to develop your own interests in psychology is a key part of our service development. About the role:
Horsham District Council is offering a 3-month placement as a Graduate Planner (Work Experience) to students or recent graduates of a planning related course within the Development and Building Control department. This opportunity will give you valuable practical planning work experience for your future career.
As a Graduate Planner you will have the opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day work of the Development Management team through the processing of a variety of planning applications and carrying out other duties associated with the planning application process. Such duties include dealing with householder pre- application enquiries, planning history requests, duty phone calls and determination of householder applications including the preparation of Officer reports and site visits.
About you:
To succeed as a Graduate Planner, you will have a degree in a subject relevant to planning or working towards one, and you will have a professional attitude, good communication skills and be capable of working on your own initiative to meet deadlines. A full current driving licence, with recent driving experience is essential for the role as you will be visiting development sites and attending meetings across the Horsham District. An understanding of town planning legislation with experience of working in a local planning authority is not essential but would be an advantage.

<h2>About the role</h2>You will carry out high-standard plastering repairs and refurbishment activities for our residents’ homes, delivering high customer service and meeting all safety, quality and cost control standards.You will mainly be working in occupied properties within the Brighton and Hove area either on your own or in a small team. The key tasks will be:<ul>
<li>Diagnosing and repairing defects across all aspects of plastering trade</li>
<li>Safely hacking off and disposing of existing wall and ceiling finishes.</li>
<li>Undertaking training and carrying out non-licensed asbestos removals</li>
<li>Repairing and patching textured coatings to walls and ceilings</li>
<li>Preparing walls and ceilings for finishes by cleaning, taping and filling any holes.</li>
<li>Preparing any wooden battens or noggins.</li>
<li>Mixing plaster and render finishes ready to be applied</li>
<li>Applying wet finishes of plaster and render,&nbsp;dubbing out, scratch coats, final coats and skim coats. Trowelling off and finishing or applying decorative textured finishes as required or to match in a repair.</li>
<li>All aspects of dry lining using sheet plasterboard, preparing, cutting, fixing, taping and jointing and applying wet skim finishes.</li>
