 JOB DESCRIPTION
Main purpose&nbsp;
The School Business Manager is accountable to the Headteacher. They will serve on the School’s Leadership Team and will be instrumental in developing and supporting the strategic management of the school and in providing vision, leadership, and direction for the school, ensuring&nbsp; that the school meets its educational aims.
The School Business Manager promotes the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative and financial functions of the school and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in&nbsp;support of the school’s learning objectives
Duties and responsibilities&nbsp;
Leadership and Strategy
<ul>
<li>To make decisions and take responsibility as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, attending SLT and Governor meetings in line with school requirements.</li>
<li>To contribute to the strategic development of the school.</li>
<li>To evaluate information and consult with SLT and Governors to prepare a realistic and balanced budget linked to the Strategic School Improvement Plan.</li>
<li>To develop collaborative partnerships with other schools and organisations.</li>
<li>Implement and contribute to school-wide changes and allocate resources in line with the school improvement plan, putting policies and procedures in place and communicating them to all staff.</li>
<li>Liaise with all external bodies and agencies such as the Department for Education, the Disclosure and Barring Service, and the Teaching Regulation Agency.</li>
</ul>
Financial Management
<ul>
<li>To plan and submit the proposed budget to the Headteacher and Governors for approval and to liaise with the Headteacher on the financial planning process, including 3-year projections</li>
<li>To manage, and be responsible for, the administration of the school Budget financial systems</li>
<li>To manage, and be responsible for, the negotiation of all contracts relevant to the efficient and effective administration of School business, ensuring that the school is receiving value for money and to be responsible for the procurement of services through arranging competitive tendering, including but not limited to fire burglar alarms, window cleaning and grounds maintenance.</li>
<li>To lead and be responsible for bid writing and seeking external funding.</li>
<li>To manage, and be responsible for, the collection of all monies received in the school office, issuing of receipts and banking of monies as and when required.</li>
<li>Ensure safekeeping of the school’s assets, maintaining and updating the asset register, performing physical checks, and ensuring any disposals are completed responsibly.</li>

Administration Management
<ul>
<li>To manage the school office and to be responsible for the leadership and management of the administrative staff, providing support and guidance and delegating responsibilities as appropriate.</li>
<li>To lead recruitment, performance management, appraisal, training, and development for all administrative staff.</li>
<li>To manage, and be responsible for, the services provided by the site staff and IT Provider, providing support and guidance, training, and performance management appraisals and to manage all payroll issues, holiday cover and related issues.</li>
<li>Be responsible for ensuring the Single Central Record is maintained and compliant.</li>

General Compliance and GDPR
<ul>
<li>Manage the school’s compliance with statutory obligations under GDPR and the Freedom of Information Act, and advise others on the relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements.</li>
<li>Track all school policies and ensure they are updated in accordance with the policy review schedule.</li>
<li>Act as the schools internal DPO, taking responsibility for monitoring compliance and advising the school community on GDPR.</li>

HR Management

<li>Act as the schools Educational Visits Co-ordinator and ensuring all paperwork and submissions are completed in a timely manner.</li>

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent IT and customer service skills, experience of working in an office environment, and the ability to use databases to record and monitor information. You will also have an understanding of issues relating to equality and diversity, along with good problem-solving skills and a solution-focused approach.

The Programme is at an exciting juncture, and we are part-way through competitive dialogue process to appoint a Single Delivery Partner with demonstrable experience of delivering multi-phase regeneration programmes with a focus on placemaking and community wealth building. About the role
We’re looking for a senior manager, brand marketing to join our team at an exciting time of growth for Breast Cancer Now.&nbsp; As part of our new 2025-2030 organizational strategy, we have ambitious plans to increase awareness, understanding, trust and engagement, to support the impact we can have for people affected by breast cancer.&nbsp; To achieve this, we’ve secured significant investment in our brand marketing program and this role will play a key role in making those ambitions a reality.&nbsp;
The senior manager marketing, brand marketing will lead the brand marketing team and oversee the planning, development, and delivery of our brand marketing program.&nbsp; This includes managing high-profile multi-channel advertising bursts and fame-driving activations, working closely with stakeholders across the charity, and with our creative and media agency partners.&nbsp; This role will develop compelling briefs, oversee campaign delivery, and ensure performance is measured and optimized.
The post-holder will also take responsibility for monitoring our brand health - working with research and media agencies to set KPIs, analyse results, and identify opportunities for improvement.
About you
This is an important role for Breast Cancer Now and one which requires a passion for and proven expertise in managing a brand marketing programme, including delivering multi-channel campaigns.
The role provides a fantastic opportunity to work with stakeholders across the charity, and with external agencies to support the creation and delivery of marketing campaigns.&nbsp; As such, you'll possess strong communication skills and be adept at building positive working relationships with people at all levels. &nbsp;&nbsp;You’ll also be committed to delivering exceptional creative work and have knowledge of brand measurement techniques, working with research agencies and using performance data to monitor and maximise impact.&nbsp;

Underwood West Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable professional to the role of Site Manager to manage our buildings, facilities and Health &amp; Safety.
The Site Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the school in terms of timely maintenance and repairs of the buildings and grounds in conjunction with site improvements. They will assist the Vice Principal with Health &amp; Safety management across the school and therefore a relevant Health and Safety qualification or training is desirable. The successful applicant will have a good level of numeracy and literacy and ideally experience of report writing and/or inspections/ checks. These are all done digitally in school and so a good level of knowledge of Microsoft is desirable.
Key duties include being a key-holder, completing and updating risk assessments, checking fire alarm points, monitoring water temperatures, checking equipment, snow clearance and gritting in bad weather, general maintenance jobs around the school and other duties as required.
The successful applicant will also be expected to carry out, to a high standard, simple plumbing repairs, simple joinery, repair of some equipment, decorating and some grounds maintenance. Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
