About the Programme
Are you looking to start your career in property and asset management? We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Assistant Asset Surveyor to join our multi-disciplinary Asset Management Team. You’ll play a key role in supporting the management of a diverse property portfolio and delivering strategic asset management objectives for the Council.
This includes support for becoming a member of the RICS.&nbsp; This would include an Assessment of Professional Competence which we would support you to achieve.
What You’ll Do

<li>Assist with a broad range of asset management functions, including landlord and tenant matters, compulsory purchase, valuation, and surveying.</li>
<li>Support regeneration, housing, and highways schemes, including property acquisitions.</li>
<li>Help manage the Council’s leased property portfolio, including rent reviews, lease negotiations, and terminations.</li>

<li>Undertake negotiations on minor property matters and assist with asset disposals.</li>

We're seeking a Service Manager to lead our new service which is opening based in Bermondsey, an Independent Approved Premises (IAP) commissioned by Criminal Justice Services (CJS). The service works with residents who have recently been released from prison and helps them to reintegrate into the community, and restart their journey to independence. The team will identify resident needs alongside any licensing restrictions, and will create tailored, person centred support plans including housing support, activities, and personal journey outcomes to help them to reintegrate. The team work in a multi disciplinary approach, working alongside probation services, job centres, mental health teams, and other community partners, with a focus on risk management and public protection.&nbsp;
As a Service Manager, you will lead the team by providing line management and leadership support to enable and empower the team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will drive service outcomes in line with our contractual requirements, ensuring quality, consistency, within a trauma informed setting. You will ensure all aspects of the service run smoothly and in collaboration with our internal teams and external partners. Property Technical Support Officer (Ref: PTSO)

This role is based in the busy Property Services department. The postholder will provide a wide range of administrative and technical support to the property team and assist with the management of the Council’s portfolio of residential and commercial properties. The duties will include:

Impact is a two-year, high-profile national management trainee programme designed for talented graduates with the potential to become future senior leaders in local government.

What you will do
Brent's priorities include housing, social care, public health, community cohesion, and improving employment and skills opportunities - particularly for young people and underrepresented groups. As a Graduate Management Trainee, you will play an important role in helping to address these priorities. As a Graduate Management Trainee, you will:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

<li>Hold, or be on track to obtain, a minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in any subject by summer 2026</li>
<li>Have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the two-year programme. The application process
All applicants must demonstrate their understanding of Impact's key skills and behaviours through a competitive, multi-stage process. Local candidates complete the same assessments as national candidates but receive a guaranteed interview with Brent if successful at the assessment centre.
Situational Judgement Test (SJT)
You will complete an online SJT as part of the initial application. It contains 24 realistic scenarios with multiple response options. The test is:

<li>Untimed, but must be completed in one sitting</li>
<li>Completed after your application questions</li>
<li>Submitted before your application can be finalised</li>
