<li>As Service Manager for our Permanence Service, you will be an experienced social work manager within Children and Young People’s Services, with a proven track record in managing frontline children’s social care teams, with current SWE registration</li>
<li>The post holder will know how to obtain and maintain high level performance in a statutory service. &nbsp;This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead high-performing teams, embed a culture of continuous improvement whilst ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and care for children, young people and families/carers</li>
<li>As a Service Manager, you will be knowledgeable in all children’s legislation, legal processes and best practice, particularly in relation to children in care and children looked after, promoting safe and stable placements and positive long-term change</li>
<li>You will be an inspirational, driven and inclusive manager, with exceptional people and communication skills, proving clear leadership and direction across the service</li>

<li>support staff to deliver a professional commercial property service managing the council’s property portfolios</li>
<li>provide expert advice on all commercial property transactions</li>
</ul>To support you, you will be managing two outsourced estate management contracts which deliver the day-to-day estate management of the agricultural and commercial property portfolios.You will commission commercial property valuations and lead the annual asset valuation process.You will:<ul>
<li>use your commercial property knowledge and expertise to lead and support your team, manage the outsourced property management contracts and provide professional advice to all services across the council.</li>
<li>use your knowledge of the commercial property market and valuation to provide strategic advice and recommendations to support decision making and governance.</li>
<li>use your leadership skills to motivate and develop an experienced professional team to deliver an expert service inclusively.</li>
<li>have comprehensive experience of managing complex budgets to ensure the successful delivery of income and capital receipts to support the council’s financial plan.</li>
<li>have effective communication and negotiation skills to allow you to build constructive and collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.</li>

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours&nbsp;or term-time only.
