About the Role
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is recruiting for a highly experienced Events Manager. You will lead a diverse, high‑profile programme of corporate and city region events—ranging from conferences, international summits and ministerial visits to cultural moments, launches and project milestones. You will own end‑to‑end delivery: setting objectives, shaping concepts, building timelines, managing budgets and ensuring each event reflects our brand, values and mission.
This role will report to the Head of Corporate Affairs and will manage an Events Officer and co-ordinate multi-disciplinary colleagues across multiple concurrent events.
Key responsibilities will include event planning &amp; delivery, corporate affairs integration, venues and logistics, programmes and content, supplier management, promotion and marketing, on site leadership, promotion and marketing of core events, evaluation and insight to measure ROI and inform continuous improvement.
 About the person
We’re looking for someone with relevant qualification in public relations, events or engagement or equivalent professional experience. A proven track record in planning and delivering complex events in a local authority, public sector or corporate setting. You’re a collaborative stakeholder able to build relationships across senior internal and external audiences.
With supplier and budget management experience you are extremely confident and negotiating contracts and ensuring value for money. You’ll excel when it comes to attention to detail and be highly astute at multi-tasking multiple workstreams simultaneously. All fully complemented by data collection techniques and performance measurement inform decision making and evaluate impact.

You will be based at any one of our Area Housing Offices working as part of a Repairs team. You will carry out a wide range of duties across our varied 15,000 housing stock, together with our asset portfolio of corporate operational, commercial and community assets including schools. You will predominantly be attending day to day repairs, updating stock data, evaluating and diagnosing what work is required, assessing the best options to carry out the work and issuing response repairs. Skills: You need to: 1. Be able to demonstrate sufficient relevant experience and knowledge of general day to day response repairs in a housing or commercial environment. 2. Have good building construction technology and building pathology knowledge together with the ability to evaluate and diagnose what work is required, assess the best options to carry out the work and issuing response repairs and advising others. 3. Have a knowledge of building related legislation as appropriate to the role and be able to apply as necessary. 4. Have knowledge and experience of construction related health &amp; safety legislation knowledge generally and be able to apply specifically the working at height regulations, and Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. 5. Practical surveying skills that can be demonstrated; specifically, be able to carry out stock data and measured surveys, accurately recording stock data as appropriate. 6. Demonstrating you can manage a contractor using a contract, negotiating contractual matters and resolution of disputes with contractors. 7. Have knowledge and experience of cost control techniques and be able to demonstrate commercial awareness when undertaking cost estimates for larger repair work, exercise financial control when managing work and assess value for money for work undertaken when auditing completed repairs. Demonstrate analytical skills to be able to interrogate, analyse and evaluate previous repair information 8. Have relevant knowledge and experience of all Microsoft packages and demonstrate practical IT skills using Excel spreadsheets or Word when writing reports or letters and be capable of using various other software packages with appropriate training to accurately update data as part of undertaking the surveying role. 9. Have planning skills and demonstrate the ability to be organised and methodical when undertaking inspections to ensure effective time management. 10. Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and demonstrate the ability to be a good communicator developing relationships with clients and customers, understanding their aspirations, managing expectations and ensuring that excellent communication occurs to ensure that they are fully informed regarding the repairs and maintenance of their assets, particularly as most repairs and maintenance work is undertaken in occupation whilst our residents are living in their homes or commercial buildings are operational. 11. Shift Pattern:&nbsp;37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. Onsite face to face service, with flexibility around these hours required as per resident and service requirements. All managers, including this position will take part in the out of hours on call duty.
<h4>About the Role</h4>
We're seeking a Service Manager to lead our new service which is opening based in Bermondsey, an Independent Approved Premises (IAP) commissioned by Criminal Justice Services (CJS). The service works with residents who have recently been released from prison and helps them to reintegrate into the community, and restart their journey to independence. The team will identify resident needs alongside any licensing restrictions, and will create tailored, person centred support plans including housing support, activities, and personal journey outcomes to help them to reintegrate. The team work in a multi disciplinary approach, working alongside probation services, job centres, mental health teams, and other community partners, with a focus on risk management and public protection.&nbsp;
As a Service Manager, you will lead the team by providing line management and leadership support to enable and empower the team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will drive service outcomes in line with our contractual requirements, ensuring quality, consistency, within a trauma informed setting. You will ensure all aspects of the service run smoothly and in collaboration with our internal teams and external partners. We're looking for someone who is solution focused, and has a real passion to create a safe space where individuals can thrive to meet personal outcomes.&nbsp;

We're looking for someone who can build rapport, trust, and a psychologically informed environment for residents, staff, and relevant stakeholders.
