About the role
We're looking for a Floating Support Coordinator to join our team based in Luton. You will deliver community based support to individuals with mental health and wellbeing needs. You will work alongside various community and statutory services to help our participants to transition into independent living within two years. You will inspire and motivate our participants to achieve their personal goals, build independence, and reintegrate within the community. You will provide tailored personalised support to help our participants to live more fulfilling lives. You will deliver personalised support plans to engage them with opportunities available within the community, and help them to develop their social skills and independent living skills.&nbsp;

This role involves coordinating and delivering social, economic, and health-related projects that address the unique needs of older adults.
Working in partnership with other officers, agencies, and community organisations, the Age Friendly Community Coordinator will play a pivotal role in promoting inclusivity, well-being, and active participation among older residents, in alignment with the Council’s corporate priorities.
Awareness of the needs and concerns of older people, including social isolation, health disparities, and economic barriers together with familiarity with local and national policies that impact on the lives of older people would be useful.
This is a temporary contract until the end of March 2028.

Swindon The group meets every month on a Wednesday, usually the 1st Wednesday, with the role beginning in August.
Our Living with Secondary Breast Cancer group in Swindon meets at 10:45am to 12:45pm, with a slightly longer meeting each quarter (10:30am to 1pm) when an expert speaker presents on a relevant topic.
Reading The group meets every month on a Friday, usually the 3rd Friday, with the role beginning in August.
Our Living with Secondary Breast Cancer group in Reading meets at 11am to 1pm, with a slightly longer meeting each quarter (11am to 1.30pm) when an expert speaker presents on a relevant topic.
Our groups are usually held in hospitality or community venues in the town or city centre.
Pay: We offer flat fees for work undertaken delivering our services as listed below:

<li>£135 for facilitating a 2-hour group session</li>
<li>£155 for facilitating a quarterly 2.5-hour speaker session</li>
<li>£16 admin fee per session</li>
<li>Additional fees for attending training and meetings or facilitating a larger annual information event</li>

We do not provide expenses or any fee for travel time or costs. However, we do reimburse car parking costs, if applicable, at the venue the group is held.
The role
We’re currently looking for experienced facilitators with a counselling qualification (minimum Level 4 diploma) to deliver our Living with Secondary Breast Cancer (LWSBC) group in one of 2 locations, Swindon or Reading, to start in August 2025.
Our LWSBC groups offer support and information to anyone living with a diagnosis of secondary (metastatic) breast cancer. The groups offer a safe space where people can come to talk freely and share experiences and mutual support with others who understand, away from friends and family. They’re not therapeutic support groups in the traditional sense but are delivered in accordance with our UK-Wide service model, developed and tested for over 10 years.
You’ll be responsible for facilitating the groups, drawing upon your therapeutic skills as required. Ensuring all attendees are given time to share and supported to take part in discussion, including around challenging topics affecting this patient group such as end of life. You’ll work independently in your region, with sole responsibility for facilitating each group, liaising with venue staff as required. You’ll act as an ambassador for Breast Cancer Now, promoting our charitable aims and building professional relationships with healthcare professionals who attend.
This is offered as a contract for services position and as such the appointed contractor would not be an employee of Breast Cancer Now but a self-employed individual. We require all contractors to adhere to and follow Breast Cancer Now applicable policies and procedures and to undertake some mandatory training in core subjects such as data protection and cyber security. A satisfactory criminal record check will be required.
About you
You’ll have a counselling qualification and experience of facilitating groups, preferably ongoing support groups for people affected by cancer or a life-limiting long-term condition, or other vulnerable/sensitive group. You’ll have a warm and approachable manner, able to communicate sensitively with people facing difficult challenges. You’ll be confident using your own initiative and dealing with unforeseen challenges when working alone and be able to travel to facilitate the group in person from your home address.

Whitstable encompasses the City of Canterbury, the coastal and rural areas of Herne Bay and Whitstable. Whilst the Thanet District includes Birchington, Westgate, Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate, based in Broadstairs.
We are looking for passionate Social Workers in our Children in Care and Children's Social Work teams. You will be joining a management team that is committed to providing high quality social work services to children, young people, and their families, working closely with our multi agency partners. &nbsp;
We will look to you to provide a comprehensive, effective, and highly responsive integrated social work service that meets the needs of children and their families. You will work with your colleagues to assess need, plan, and deliver focused intervention to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes. &nbsp;You will: 
<ul>
<li>Work directly with children and provide a clear and accurate assessment of the needs of the child and their family in each case</li>
<li>Conduct interviews, develop observations and gather information from children, families and other agencies</li>
<li>Devise, implement and review plans, including the development and management of protection plans within a child protection framework, care and pathway plans</li>
<li>Ensure all statutory responsibilities are well managed, including visiting children, arranging reviews and reporting to the court</li>
<li>Have a degree in Social Work, CQSW/DipSW or equivalent and registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England</li>
</ul>
About you
Professionally registered with a degree in social work – CQSW, DipSW or equivalent . &nbsp;At least one year experience &nbsp;covering &nbsp;systemic practice, and you will need an in-depth understanding of legislative and policy frameworks.
Along with a willingness to learn and develop as a practitioner, being a team player is essential in any social work team. You will build relationships with colleagues, as well as statutory, voluntary and private sector agencies.
