About the role
We are seeking a Dual Diagnosis Worker who has a specialism in mental health and substance use to join our team in Croydon. You will be based within a residential service which provides specialist mental health, complex needs, and dual diagnosis support to our residents. Within this role, you will provide specialist knowledge and experience to support the wider team and residents to help them to overcome their personal barriers.
You will deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills. You will be a specialist in comorbidity, supporting the team to achieve positive outcomes for our residents. Some of your duties will include:
<ul>
<li>Undertake joint holistic assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and interventions to support harm reduction and minimisation.</li>
<li>Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet individual needs.</li>
<li>Help reduce episodes of crisis and assist residents/participants to access services which can offer alternatives to crisis support.</li>
<li>Work closely with support staff and clinical teams to support and advise them on interventions and approaches to meet resident/participant comorbid, complex mental health and substance misuse needs.</li>
<li>Support multi-disciplinary teams and the wider community teams with support, advice, signposting, and move on care planning.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
About you
We are looking for someone who has specialist knowledge on how to support individuals with comorbid and complex needs, with experience in interventions, and in a similar role. Qualifications are desirable if paired with practical experience which is relevant to this role. We look at individual characteristics with the ability to engage with various people who may not want to receive the support, able to build trusting professional relationships, and able to demonstrate resilience, solve challenges, and be proactive. As a Children and Family worker, you will be based within our Women's Refuge service, supporting women and children up to the age of 15 who have escaped domestic abuse. You will deliver trauma-informed, child and family centred support to promote safety and wellbeing, working collaboratively with mothers to strengthen the parent-child relationship during a time of crisis. You will support with both emotional and practical day-to-day support. This is typically done through key work sessions, risk assessments, and empowerment focused activities.&nbsp;
You will play a vital role in supporting families, being the sole specialist within the service, which gives you autonomy to shape the role based on your expertise and experience. You will lead on child-focused support, as well as working part of the wider team to provide the support to mothers. You will deliver a range of support for children and young people, as well as family and parenting support.&nbsp;
About you
We are looking for someone who has a real passion to support families and children who have experienced domestic abuse. You will have a trauma-informed understanding of domestic abuse and the impact it has on families, and will be able to engage in sensitive conversations, recognising signs on trauma, and being proactive to support families to overcome this. This is a hands-on, active role, ideal for someone who is creative, energetic, and passionate about working directly with families. You will be a team player, able to collaborate and provide support to colleagues as needed.&nbsp;

<li>A background in working with adults and children, particularly from trauma affected backgrounds</li>
<li>Experience in supporting mothers in helping children transition to new schools</li>

MST-CAN [Multisystemic Therapy for Child Abuse and Neglect] delivers intensive intervention to families who are open to Knowsley Children’s Social Care under statutory plans with the aim of keeping children safely at home.
We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced professional to join our small and successful team.

As an MST-CAN Therapist you will hold a small caseload of families, delivering intensive intervention with caregivers and children in their homes and communities to prevent re-abuse and neglect.
A relevant undergraduate degree is an essential requirement, as is knowledge of child abuse and neglect and experience of working within this challenging area.&nbsp; The ideal candidate will also have experience of applying psychological theory in their practice and delivering evidence-based interventions such as behavioural parenting techniques, CBT and Motivational Interviewing.&nbsp; The ability to work with children and adults facing multiple difficulties such as significant substance misuse, trauma and poor mental health is also required.&nbsp;
This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise and develop your existing skills as a child and family practitioner by joining a dedicated team with an emphasis on strong supervisory and peer support.
In addition to your salary, you will receive payment for being part of the rota to deliver support to families outside of typical working hours.&nbsp; This will be on average every 1 week in 3, but is arranged collaboratively within the team to take into consideration planned personal events.&nbsp; Payment equates to around £4500pa in addition to your salary.
You will be given full training in the MST model and MST-CAN adaptation techniques.&nbsp; This involves MST 5-day training, MST-CAN 4-day training and 4-day trauma training.&nbsp; These may be away from the locality and require overnight stays.&nbsp;

We're looking for a Senior Support coach to join our team which focus on supporting residents with OPD (Offender Personality Disorder) and related cognitive or behavioural challenges, many of whom have experienced institutional care or social exclusion. The Role

The Role
