We pay an attractive salary of £27,711 - £30,060 and offer access to training and development opportunities. Would you like to be part of a dynamic team delivering Housing Support to residents living in sheltered housing schemes across the borough? If so, we want to hear from you !The successful candidate will undertake and review support plans, signpost to other agencies, monitor wellbeing, encourage social interaction and ensure compliance with health and safety. You will be supporting to deliver a service which enables residents to live independently and safely as well as working with other housing teams to carry out appropriate housing management.For the role, we ask that you have: <ul><li>A Relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales , or a National Certificate in Supported Housing.</li><li>An Understanding of Health and Safety legislation and Supporting People legislation</li><li>A commitment to providing a high quality customer care service.</li><li>A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to respond to any issues in a sheltered housing scheme. </li></ul>We have excellent benefits including the Local Government Pension Scheme, agile working patterns and staff discount schemes. The role: Our Sue Ryder shop volunteer roles are filled with variety and can cover many aspects of the role of a shop volunteer including:
• &nbsp; &nbsp;Donations and Gift Aid – meet donors, receive donations, sign donors up to Gift Aid • &nbsp; &nbsp;Sorting, labelling, pricing of stock • &nbsp; &nbsp;Greeting and helping customers • &nbsp; &nbsp;Serving customers on the till (training provided) • &nbsp; &nbsp;Maintaining shop displays, re-stocking, • &nbsp; &nbsp;Light cleaning/tidying duties to keep the shop inviting and well presented

Sharing home, family and community lifeThe South East Wales Shared Lives Scheme offers a unique community based service for adults who need care and support in Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen and Rhondda Cynon Taff.&nbsp; Individuals are matched with compatible Shared Lives carers who offer to share their home, family and community lives.Shared Lives carers are carefully selected, assessed, trained and supported by the scheme. They come from all walks of life and choose to care for a wide variety of reasons. Shared Lives carers are united through their enthusiasm, commitment, and positive motivation to make a real difference in people’s lives.The flexibility of Shared Lives means that carers can provide support for lots of different people in a wide range of situations.
