We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Mini Provision Lead Practitioner to lead our specialist Mini Provision and join our inclusive and supportive team.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a significant difference to the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with complex needs. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day running of the Mini Provision, which currently has two children, creating a nurturing, communication-rich and engaging learning environment that enables pupils to thrive academically, socially and emotionally while supporting successful inclusion into mainstream classrooms where appropriate.

Working closely with the SENDCo, senior leaders, class teachers, therapists and families, you will lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of personalised learning, implement specialist communication approaches and interventions, supervise support staff within the provision and ensure consistently high-quality practice.

We are looking for someone who:

· Has substantial experience working with children with SEND, including those with complex needs, within a primary or specialist setting.

· Has experience leading or coordinating a specialist provision, nurture group or SEND intervention programme.

· Has excellent knowledge and practical experience of communication approaches including TEACCH, SCERTS, Makaton and Intensive Interaction.

· Has experience creating and developing enabling, communication-friendly learning environments.

· Can lead, support and motivate colleagues, modelling excellent inclusive practice.

· Has experience monitoring pupil progress and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions.

· Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families and professionals.

· Is calm, resilient, organised and solution-focused.

· Is committed to ensuring every child achieves their full potential.

We can offer:

· A welcoming and friendly school community.

· A supportive leadership team and experienced SEND professionals.

· A well-established Mini Provision with opportunities to further develop and shape its provision.

· High-quality professional development and specialist SEND training.

· Opportunities to develop leadership skills and specialist expertise.

· A culture where inclusion, collaboration and staff wellbeing are highly valued.

· Release time for planning and preparation.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and all relevant pre-employment checks.
