About Haringey

Haringey is a fantastic place to live and work – the world in one borough. A place brimming with creativity, personality, radicalism, and community. It is a place where we stand up for each other. A place that is proudly distinctive. We’ll be celebrating all this and more as the “rebel borough” when we are the 2027 London Borough of Culture.

Our history champions change-makers and everyday rebels; revelling in our differences, battling discrimination, championing equality, and doing things our own way. Haringey’s people are a huge asset, with knowledge, expertise, and passion. Our staff members embody our organisational values: Caring, Creative, Courageous, Collaborative and Community-focused. These values keep us looking forward, ambitious for the future, and continuously striving to do our very best for all of our residents.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Adults Brokerage Officer to join our Adult Social Care team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating care services for vulnerable adults, ensuring value for money and high-quality standards. You will manage contractual agreements, monitor placements, and contribute to strategic commissioning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide brokerage services for adults requiring care and support.
• Negotiate and secure care packages that meet assessed needs and budgetary requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely updates in Liquid Logic/ContrOCC systems.
• Work closely with care management teams, providers, and internal departments to deliver effective commissioning.
• Monitor quality standards and renegotiate costs to ensure competitiveness and value for money.
• Support safeguarding processes and contribute to quality assurance reviews

About the Team

Our Adults Brokerage Team works closely with social workers, commissioning, finance and external care providers. We are a collaborative and supportive service, focused on securing safe, high quality care and achieving positive outcomes for residents. You’ll join a team that values problem solving, partnership working, and continuous improvement.

About You

• Experience in social care, particularly with vulnerable adults.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of Care Standards Act and commissioning principles.
• Proficient in IT systems (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data management.
• Committed to equality, diversity, and anti-discriminatory practices.
