Job summary

As a Content Producer, you will be at the heart of producing scroll-stopping, social-first content that turns complex government initiatives into relatable stories. Working within the Digital Communications team at UK Export Finance, you will pitch, script, shoot, and edit engaging content - ranging from filming Reels for a business we've supported, creating a carousel of graphics for a new announcement, to testing a new format sharing our value proposition to a global audience. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative, creative talent to make an impact, delivering social content that supports UKEF’s priorities and resonates with businesses in the UK and beyond.

You will help bring UKEF’s digital strategy to life across social media, continuously raising the bar for our content to ensure it is highly relevant, engaging and insight-led. The successful candidate will bring strong digital content creation skills, an instinct for fast-moving trends, and an enthusiastic hands-on approach to social-first filming, editing and graphic design to deliver meaningful impact.

Job description

The post holder will:

  • Deliver engaging, social-first content (graphics, videos, animations) that brings UKEF’s story and key messages to life for targeted audiences across a range of platforms (YouTube, X, LinkedIn and Instagram).
  • Own end-to-end video production from shooting through to final edit, demonstrating exceptional craft in fast-paced storytelling, visual hooks and native graphics designed to capture attention and drive engagement.
  • Uphold high standards in digital communications and accessibility, ensuring all content is inclusive, accurate, compliant and aligned with best practice.
  • Share emerging social media and digital communications trends, and experiment with implementing these into our content.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and monitoring of digital communications activity, producing clear insights for social media content to inform senior stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Senior Channel Manager, other UKEF colleagues, government departments and external agencies to support effective collaboration and delivery.
  • Have a proactive and positive attitude with a passion for creating the best possible creative to truly engage audiences.

Essential

Knowledge

  • A deep understanding of social media video trends and platform-specific content requirements, with the ability to translate trends into actionable content strategies for government communications. (A, I)

Skills/Ability

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent tools), with experience in video editing, graphic design and animation. (A, I)
  • Proficiency with DSLR and smartphone filming: self-shooting and equipment set-up, including sound and talent direction.(A, I)
  • Ability to draft written briefs, scripts and engaging on-screen text. (A, I)
