Building Safety Manager

Building Safety Manager

Building Control
£57,000 per year

Join Peabody as a Building Safety Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping safer homes across London. You’ll lead the implementation of the Building Safety Act 2022 for our high-rise residential portfolio, ensuring compliance, managing risks, and driving a culture of safety excellence. This is your chance to make a real impact on residents’ lives while working in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Building Safety Manager, you’ll be the key point of contact for building safety across an allocated geographical patch, ensuring full compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022. You’ll identify and manage safety risks, carry out inspections, and work closely with internal teams and external regulators to keep our homes safe and secure. Alongside this, you’ll lead resident engagement by providing clear updates, managing safety-related concerns, and promoting a culture of trust and transparency.

What You’ll Need

  • In-depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and its practical application.
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification or substantial experience in fire safety, structural engineering, or building surveying.
  • Proven experience managing building/fire safety in residential high-rise buildings.
  • Strong understanding of construction, fire risk assessments, and relevant guidance (e.g., Approved Document B, BS9991).
  • Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with residents, contractors, and regulators.

Why Join Us?

When you join Peabody, you’re joining a team guided by our values, Be Kind, Do the Right Thing, Love New Ideas, Celebrate Diversity, Keep Our Promises, and Pull Together. We believe in creating a workplace where everyone feels supported, included, and empowered.

What We Offer

  • 30 days’ annual holiday, plus bank holidays
  • two additional paid volunteering days each year
  • flexible benefits scheme, including family friendly benefits and access to a discount portal
  • 4 x salary life assurance
  • up to 10% pension contribution
