Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Grade: Aquinas Grade A3.1

Actual Pro-Rata salary: £18,749.03 p.a.

Full time salary: £26,273.00 p.a.

Hours: 30 hrs per week Monday - Friday

08:30 - 15:30 (6 hours per day)

Weeks:39 Weeks per year

Contract:Permanent

Trinity Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to become part of a flourishing school. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant or someone who is passionate about improving the life experiences of our pupils. The successful candidate will work with an experienced and supportive team who are committed to improving the life experiences of our pupils.

An understanding and previous experience of working with children with ASD/Social Communication Difficulties is desirable.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting in the classroom to help the teacher deliver the curriculum and assist children.
  • Supporting children with additional needs.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A good standard of education.
  • A flexible attitude.
  • Listening and observation skills.
  • Team working skills.
  • Experience of working with SEN children.
  • An ability to deal with parents and children with tact and sensitivity.
  • General experience of children and their supervision.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • A good attention to detail; and
  • A good sense of humour.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to support children and aid their development.
  • Want to work as part of a hardworking, dedicated and cohesive team.
  • Have a friendly, helpful, caring and flexible approach.
  • Very good numeracy/literacy skills.
  • NVQ3 Teaching Assistant Course (desirable) or equivalent qualification or experience.
