The role:

• This is a senior role within our Communications and Engagement service, where you will bring together marketing expertise and commercial acumen to drive growth, visibility and impact across the council. We are looking for someone who brings a combination of strategic thinking, commercial awareness and marketing expertise.
• Managing the marketing team, you will lead the strategic development and management of the council’s commercial marketing activity, including outdoor advertising, sponsorship, print services and income-generating opportunities.
• This is a role for someone who is equally confident shaping marketing campaigns as they are negotiating contracts and building partnerships. You will play a key part in growing revenue streams, developing compelling offers and ensuring our campaigns reach the right audiences.
• Working across the organisation and with external partners, you will ensure our commercial contracts deliver strong performance, value for money and measurable results, while supporting wider council priorities and services.
• You will have experience of managing contracts, partnerships or commercial services, ideally within marketing, media, advertising or a similar environment.
