Senior Accountant -Treasury

Are you an articulate, experienced finance professional who can flourish in a large, complex organisation and who is credible in front of senior officers and elected officials? Would you relish the opportunity of being involved in treasury management?

Are you passionate about combining the highest levels of customer service whilst also delivering on challenging output-based performance targets? Would you like to work for a fascinating organisation, combining ancient traditions and historic functions with its role as a modern local authority at the centre of the Capital, serving the ‘Square Mile’ and providing services that have local, regional, and sometimes national significance?

If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Corporate Treasury team of the Chamberlain’s (Finance) Department.

Reporting to the Group Accountant (Treasury & Investments), the successful applicant will ensure the Corporation’s treasury management strategy is implemented effectively on a daily basis; provide high-quality financial reporting for all treasury activities across the organisation; and work with our Corporate Accountancy team to ensure borrowing requirements are managed effectively. The post holder will also administer the current HRA Service Charge Loan portfolio and will be expected to maintain appropriate relationships with key advisors, our Bankers, external auditors and other partners.

You will be a fully qualified accountant, with a sound knowledge of the key issues around treasury management and be able to provide clear professional advice to senior officers and Members.
