Technical Co-Ordinator

Technical Co-Ordinator

Housing
£42,771 - £46,968 per year

Help deliver life-changing adaptations that improve independence, safety and quality of life for residents.

Hillingdon Council is seeking a Technical Co-Ordinator to support the delivery of Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs), adaptations and associated works across social housing, private homes, corporate buildings and Council-owned commercial properties.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will coordinate complex cases, support technical delivery and help ensure adaptations are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with residents' needs. Working closely with Occupational Therapists, Surveyors, contractors and partner teams, you will play a key role in progressing cases and overcoming barriers to delivery.

You will:

  • Co-ordinate and support the delivery of DFG and adaptation cases across a wide range of property types.
  • Monitor case progression, ensuring works are prioritised, tracked and delivered within agreed timescales.
  • Provide technical coordination and support for complex, high-risk or non-standard cases.
  • Liaise with contractors, residents and internal teams to arrange access and coordinate works.
  • Support the resolution of delays, delivery barriers and case escalations.
  • Maintain accurate records and updates across corporate systems.
  • Raise purchase orders, support invoice processing and assist with financial monitoring.
  • Contribute to service performance reporting, audits and continuous improvement activity.
  • Support compliance with the Equality Act, Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) requirements and wider housing standards.

About You

We are looking for an organised and proactive individual with experience coordinating projects, works programmes, adaptations or property-related services.

You will bring:

  • Experience coordinating works, projects, adaptations, housing services or property-related activities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with residents, contractors and professional partners.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate records and performance information.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using business systems and databases.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and service improvement.

Experience working with Disabled Facilities Grants, housing adaptations, Occupational Therapy services, housing, property maintenance or construction-related services would be advantageous.

What We Offer

  • A rewarding role helping residents live more independently and safely.
  • Opportunities to work across a wide range of adaptation and improvement projects.
  • A supportive team environment with opportunities for professional development.
  • Flexible and modern working arrangements.
