Are you an experienced Project Manager who enjoys delivering meaningful change and working collaboratively to improve services?

Redbridge Council is delivering an ambitious Modernisation Programme to help shape the future of the organisation. Working in partnership with services across the Council, the programme focuses on improving how services are designed and delivered, making better use of data, digital technology and innovation to improve outcomes for residents and ensure services remain sustainable for the future.

We are looking for experienced Project Managers to lead the successful delivery of a diverse range of modernisation projects that will support the Council’s strategic priorities and deliver lasting improvements across the organisation.

About the Role
As a Project Manager within the Modernisation Team, you will be responsible for planning, managing and delivering projects from initiation through to implementation. Working closely with service teams, senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary delivery teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to agreed outcomes.

You will play a key role in coordinating project activity, managing governance, monitoring risks and issues, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Overview of the role:
- Lead the delivery of modernisation projects across a range of Council services.
- Develop and maintain project plans, delivery schedules and governance documentation.
- Work collaboratively with service areas to define project scope, objectives and deliverables.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and change requests.
- Monitor project progress and provide clear reporting to programme boards and senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and ensure effective stakeholder engagement throughout delivery.
- Support the identification and delivery of service improvements, digital initiatives and organisational change.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed governance, quality standards and corporate project management methodologies.

About You
You will be an organised and proactive Project Manager with experience of delivering projects within a complex organisation.

You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, building effective working relationships and working with colleagues at all levels to deliver successful outcomes. You will have excellent planning and organisational skills and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You will also bring:
- Experience of successfully delivering projects from initiation through to implementation.
- Strong project planning, governance and reporting skills.
- Experience managing project risks, issues, actions and dependencies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- The ability to influence, problem solve and adapt to changing priorities.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A recognised project management qualification, such as PRINCE2, APM or equivalent, is desirable.

If you are passionate about improving public services and want to help deliver meaningful change across Redbridge Council, we would love to hear from you.
