Ealing Council has an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer to join the team at the Ealing Education Centre, based in Greenford, UB6.

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused and organised individual to play a key role in the day-to-day running of a thriving education and training centre.

This is a full time permanent, role working on a term-time only basis, plus an additional two weeks during school holiday periods. Due to the nature of the role this is a fully office base role. It offers an excellent work-life balance while providing the opportunity to be part of a friendly and supportive team.

The Ealing Education Centre (EEC) is a thriving professional development and training centre supporting schools, governors, education professionals and partners across the borough. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a busy environment and is passionate about delivering excellent service.

This varied role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of the Centre's operations, supporting the delivery of training programmes, events and conferences, whilst providing a professional business support service.


Key responsibilities:
As a Business Support Officer, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Ealing Education Centre. You will provide:

•A welcoming and professional front-of-house service to visitors, delegates and customers attending the Ealing Education Centre.
•Manage enquiries by telephone, email and in person, always ensuring excellent customer care.
•Support the administration and delivery of training programmes, conferences, meetings and events.
•Use online systems to manage training, venue bookings, enrolments, communications and event information.
•Coordinate administrative support for allocated training programmes and projects.
•Support financial processes including purchase orders, invoicing, payments and budget monitoring.
•Assist with the marketing and promotion of training, events and services.
•Maintain accurate records, databases and filing systems, ensuring information is up to date and easily accessible.
•Work collaboratively with colleagues, schools, training providers and stakeholders to support the delivery of high-quality services.

Essential skills and experience:

•Experience of providing high-quality administrative and customer support in a busy office or similar environment.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of customers and colleagues.
•Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and manage a varied workload.
•Experience of using online business systems and databases.
•Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
•The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•A proactive, adaptable and flexible approach to work.
•A reliable, professional and punctual approach, with a willingness to learn new skills and contribute to service improvements.

Essential skills and qualifications:
•A good standard of general education, including GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent), with strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Good ICT skills, including experience of Microsoft Office applications.
