The post-holder will lead the implementation of the new regulatory arrangements under RIIO-3, overseeing this transformational network investment programme while holding the electricity Transmission Owners (TOs) to account for their delivery against key performance targets. </p><p>A key part of the RIIO-3 price control for electricity transmission will be the effective management of all in-period funding mechanisms, overseeing the significant pipeline of investment expected during the 2026 to 2031 RIIO-3 period. <h4>Job summary</h4><p>Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. Our primary responsibility is to protect energy consumers, especially the most vulnerable, while at the same time working with government, industry and consumer groups to deliver a clean, more affordable and secure net-zero energy system at the lowest cost to consumers and drive economic growth. </p><p>We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Offshore Cost Assessment team within our Major Projects Directorate. This team plays a key role in assessing the costs of large-scale electricity transmission infrastructure projects, including offshore, onshore and interconnector developments, to ensure they deliver value for money for consumers. </p><p>This is a cost-focused infrastructure role, ideal for someone with experience in engineering economics, capital project delivery or infrastructure cost modelling. You’ll lead the scrutiny of detailed cost submissions from developers, benchmark costs across projects and help shape the regulatory decisions that guide billions of pounds of investment in the UK’s energy networks. </p><p>You’ll be responsible for managing the assessment of multiple major projects each year, working closely with internal colleagues, external consultants and project developers. Your analysis will directly influence how efficiently these projects are delivered and how costs are controlled. </p><p>Key responsibilities include leading detailed cost assessments, comparing and benchmarking submissions, and producing clear, evidence-based recommendations to support regulatory decisions. <h4>Job summary</h4><p>The role requires an experienced &amp; strong project manager with the ability to lead on critical Finance projects. Based in our IT team, this permanent role is key to the successful delivery of the DMO's Workplan programme. This role will enable you to demonstrate and develop your coaching and leadership skills. You will be responsible for helping new starters deliver excellent administrative support and customer service to service users, mediators, judiciary, and management.</p><p><strong>About us</strong></p><p>HM Courts &amp; Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice responsible for the administration of criminal, civil and family Courts and Tribunals in England and Wales. If you are interested in developing a career with a real purpose, please apply. </p><p><strong>Your role</strong></p><p>This role will be responsible for the ongoing onboarding training that new members of staff receive, or that staff need when moving to new duties, ensuring they develop and demonstrate the skills and knowledge to deliver an inclusive and accessible service to diverse users. The role will focus on the short to medium term needs of the learners.</p><p><strong>Your skills and experience</strong></p><ul><li>Provide Leadership to the learners, visibly demonstrating and embedding the culture and ways of working for National Services in delivering service excellence across all jurisdictions.</li><li>Business-specific knowledge and experience to be able to coach and advise learners on improvement in specific business areas.</li><li>CIPD or internal qualification in coaching and training practice (desirable).</li><li>People and communication skills to be able to coach learners in increasing effectiveness in handling customer/user queries by telephone, email or webchat (etc.)</li><li>Ability to judge capability, competence and potential in learners and adapt approach for different learners to ensure best learning environment.</li><li>Knowledge of learning resources and solutions to recommend to learners.</li><li>Coaching skills to be able to help learners understand and take responsibility for their own development, to support them in doing so and to provide guidance where necessary.</li><li>Knowledge of HMCTS and National Services service standards to be able to measure learner’s performance against these and provide support to improve where needed.</li><li>Flexibility and adaptability in working to tailor coaching style to learners needs while still meeting business requirements.</li><li>Resilience and authority to be able to manage learners effectively, sometimes in challenging situations.</li></ul><p><strong>For a full job description, please read supporting document 1 included below before applying.</strong></p><p><strong>Ways of working</strong></p><p>The office is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.</p><p>Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. There is an expectation that you can also be flexible with your working hours to accommodate the needs of the business.</p><p>To ensure our services are consistent and operated effectively, successful candidates will be required to work full-time.</p><p>The role is mainly office-based, however non-contractual hybrid working can be considered. Any hybrid working arrangements will be determined by the business and are relative to particular service lines and to when the delivery of office-based training is required.
