In this role, you will undertake a number of diverse specialist or technical activities for adults with care and support needs within organisational and legislative frameworks or assessments from other professionals. You will work closely with external partners and providers of social care reviewing care plans and care provision and responding accordingly to any Safeguarding concerns. Work is face paced but never boring, you will use skills that would be gained through formal qualifications and/or considerable relevant work experience. Roles at this level are expected to work unsupervised for much of the time, accessing and assessing information independently and can be undertaken by telephone, face to face in the community, office base or in service users home.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>To work within the community Mental Health Recovery and Social Care Reviewing team to provided support and intervention for people with severe and enduring mental illness within the remit of adult social care within the integrated team. Bounce Back for Kids (BB4K) is a lifeline for children healing from the trauma of domestic abuse. We’re expanding our service and looking for new Support Workers to join our team – helping guide children and families on their healing journey.
Position: Bounce Back for Kids (BB4K) Support Worker
Location: Reading office with hybrid working arrangements and frequent travel. Role covers casework activity across Reading, South Oxfordshire, Vale of White Horse and Oxford City.
Contract: Permanent part time – 15 hours per week, weekdays.

About the role…
As a Community &amp; Wellbeing Worker you will play a key role in delivering Rutland’s physical health and wellbeing offer. Duties include:

<li>Working closely with partners to reduce health inequalities, increase physical activity, and improve access to services across all communities.</li>
<li>Developing and delivering evidence-based physical activity and wellbeing programmes for children, young people, adults, and families—supporting both prevention and early intervention.</li>
<li>Coordinating and delivering a range of early and focused support through groupwork and 1:1 interventions, including physical activity-based sessions.</li>
<li>Supporting and promoting the physical health, mental health, and wellbeing offer available across Rutland.</li>
<li>Collaborating with volunteers, community groups and multi-agency partners to deliver impactful, innovative solutions focused on active lifestyles and improved wellbeing.</li>
</ul>
As a Community and Wellbeing Worker, you will be required to work flexibly, when the community needs support. A full UK driving license is required to enable the post holder to travel around the county. Evening and weekend work may also be required.
The successful applicant for the Community and Wellbeing Worker post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.
