About the Organisation

At Princess Alice Hospice, we support people through life, death and grief across the London Boroughs of Kingston, Richmond and large parts of Surrey. We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Hospice at Home team on a part-time basis.

About the Role

As our Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in supporting patients in the comfort of their own homes. Taking a holistic approach, you will assess, plan and deliver personalised occupational therapy interventions that respond to patients’ physical, psychological, social and cognitive needs, promoting independence, enablement and quality of life wherever possible.

In this Senior Occupational Therapist role, you will work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, building meaningful relationships with patients, families and carers, using advanced communication skills to support people through challenging and sensitive situations. Alongside colleagues and external partners, you will help patients remain in their preferred place of care wherever possible.

What you will bring as Senior Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Post-registration experience as an Occupational Therapist, ideally including palliative care, community, hospice, oncology, rehabilitation, neurological or long-term condition settings.
  • Strong holistic assessment, clinical reasoning, communication, decision-making and organisational skills.
  • Experience of working independently in community settings and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to person-centred, evidence-based care, clinical supervision, professional development, audit and education.
  • A compassionate, calm and flexible approach, with the ability to work effectively in an emotionally demanding environment.

The close date for this role is 04.08.2026 with interviews planned to follow.
