The postholder will work as part of a small attendance team and alongside the pastoral team on a day-to-day basis.
To work alongside the Attendance Intervention Lead and team to record, monitor and improve whole school attendance in liaison with pastoral staff. The emphasis of the post will be to prevent homelessness wherever possible by providing support for customers at threat of losing their homes in a range of situations, including negotiating with mortgage lenders, social and private landlords, and social and welfare support agencies, whilst taking into account the clients housing and support needs.
You will be working closely with housing needs officers to contribute to the decision-making process under the national legislation.
Experience of assessing needs and offering housing advice to the public, including achievement of appropriate solutions to housing needs problems is essential as is multi-agency and multi-disciplinary working in relation to housing needs.&nbsp; It is also essential you have experience of working with landlords to prevent evictions and to enable clients to access good quality private rented accommodation.
It is essential you have the ability to work under pressure in demanding situations, including working with customers in difficult and stressful circumstances.&nbsp; It is also essential you have the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

About the Role

About the role
This is a pivotal role within individual giving, helping to plan and develop fundraising strategy, budget management, as well as being responsible for delivering campaigns of significant scale and generating income both now and for the future.
As part of the team generating £15 million per annum, the successful candidate will be responsible for acquisition and retention communications that talk to thousands of individuals, building relationships with supporters across a wide range of marketing channels (including face-to-face, DRTV, direct mail, digital) and different activities, and driving vital income to support the charity’s research and care objectives.
With a large range of activity coming up, individual giving income growing strongly, and investment secured for the future, this is an exciting time to join and contribute to a passionate, experienced and effective team.
About you
You’ll have significant experience of running direct marketing activity to generate income, working with and developing strong relationships with suppliers, and at scale to solicit funds from tens of thousands of supporters.
A well organised person with excellent communication skills, you’ll be managing key external agencies and in-house stakeholders to deliver complex, multi-faceted campaigns. You’ll have a real focus on monitoring key campaign metrics to both optimise existing campaigns but also input into ongoing and future fundraising strategy. You’ll be confident in monitoring and managing significant expenditure budgets, as well as be keen to develop the skills to manage channel budgets and reforecasting.
Working across a range of channels that may include face-to-face, DRTV, email, online, telemarketing and direct mail, you’ll understand supporter motivations, and how to increase supporter engagement and retention; testing and evolving our campaigns to best fit what works for our supporters and ensuring that the Breast Cancer Now brand ethos is at the heart of all communications.

<li>Motivate and inspire learners to promote achievement and develop their skills to enable progression.</li>
<li>Plan and deliver effective learning programmes for diverse groups or individuals in a safe and inclusive environment, following ACL safeguarding procedures.</li>
<li>Address the needs of learners and work creatively to overcome individual barriers to learning.</li>
<li>Enable learners to share responsibility for their own learning and assessment, setting goals that stretch and challenge.</li>
<li>Apply appropriate and fair methods of assessment and provide constructive and timely feedback to support progression and achievement.</li>
<li>Maintain and update your teaching / training expertise, vocational competence, and digital skills.</li>
<li>Contribute to organisational development and quality improvement through collaboration with others.</li>
<li>To initially assess learners' starting points and monitor their progress, set challenging tasks and objectives, and build on and extend learning for all learners.</li>
<li>To support learners to develop personal, social and employability skills for them to progress into further learning or jobs that meet local and national needs.</li>
</ul>The Experience You Will Bring:Essential: <ul>
<li>Makaton teaching qualifications with Level 4 Makaton qualification.</li>
<li>A good knowledge of the teaching content for Makaton qualifications from L1 - L4</li>
<li>Competent user of ICT.</li>
<li>Ability to inspire, motivate and raise aspirations of learners through your enthusiasm and knowledge.</li>
</ul>Desirable: <ul>
<li>Experience of teaching/training adults.</li>
<li>Good understanding of social and cultural diversity, equality of opportunity, inclusion, and safeguarding.</li>
<li>Minimum of Level 2 in English and maths.</li>
