SEND Level 1 Caseworker

SEND Level 1 Caseworker

Childcare
£30,024 - £35,412 per year
Job Introduction

Job Titles:

  • SEND Caseworker (Post-16 Team)
  • SEND Caseworker (Lincoln West Lindsey Locality Team)
  • SEND Caseworker (NK SK locality Team)

Salary: £30,024-£32,597

Location: Lincolnshire (countywide and Lincoln West Lindsey and Sleaford)

Closing Date: 19th July 2026

Interviews: Week beginning 27th July 2026

The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team has exciting opportunities for motivated and committed individuals to join our newly established Post-16 SEND Team as Caseworkers. We are recruiting for six permanent countywide positions, alongside two permanent Caseworker roles within the Lincoln West Lindsey Locality Team and one in the NK SK locality team.

Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements.

As a SEND Caseworker, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality SEND services for children and young people aged either 0–16 or 16–25.

The role will involve:

  • Managing a caseload of children and young people who require special educational provision through an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan.
  • Coordinating and supporting statutory EHC needs assessments and annual reviews, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and timescales.
  • Working closely with children, young people and their families to ensure their views, aspirations and desired outcomes are central to planning and provision.
  • Developing effective partnerships with colleagues across education, health, social care and the voluntary sector to promote a coordinated approach to support.
  • Supporting the delivery of the Council’s statutory SEND responsibilities and contributing to positive, measurable outcomes for children and young people.

As part of the SEND Team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of both pre-16 and post-16 SEND services across Lincolnshire, supporting continuous improvement in line with local priorities and national policy.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing service and make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people, helping them achieve their ambitions and prepare successfully for adulthood.

At Lincolnshire County Council, we believe our people are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we offer a rewarding package designed to support your work–life balance, health and wellbeing, financial security, and career growth. Find out more about our offer to you here.
