About Barnet CouncilBarnet is a borough with much to be proud of. Our excellent schools, vibrant town centres, vast green spaces and diverse communities all help make it a great place to live and work. As a council we want to build on these strengths as we move into the future. We are growing and developing as an organisation to meet the challenges facing our borough and we are committed to working with partner organisations and residents to make Barnet even better. As an organisation, our staff are committed to Our Values: Learning to Improve, Caring, Inclusive, Collaborative – which drive everything we do.
About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled individual to lead the coordination of the Council’s Crisis and Resilience Fund programme, a £6m fund intended to support Barnet residents at challenging times and build financial resilience.

The role will be to coordinate this crucial programme of work, using project management skills to ensure effective delivery, good partnership working, and high-quality support that improves residents’ financial and social resilience.

You will need to work collaboratively across the Council and with partners, particularly the voluntary and community sector, to maximise the impact of preventative and early intervention activity.

You will deliver key workstreams, including developing materials for staff and residents, reviewing and improving our approach to crisis payments, and using data and insight to target support effectively.

This is an exciting and wide ranging role, which will involve working across Council departments and with partners in the community to have a real impact on residents in Barnet.
