Introduction:

Our Digital Communications team manages L&Q’s corporate website, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, user-focused, and meets regulatory standards.

Overview of the role:

We are looking for an ambitious graduate to join our busy and supportive Digital Communications team to create, maintain and optimise content on L&Q’s corporate website – ensuring all content is accurate, engaging, accessible and aligned with brand and communication goals.

Areas of responsibility will include, but are not exclusive to, maintaining website content using a content management system, writing, editing and proofreading content for clarity, accessibility and brand consistency and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure website content complies with legal, governance or regulatory standards.

You will also gain exposure to the full range of platforms supported by the Digital Communications team, including social media – giving you practical experience across multiple digital communications disciplines, and a broad understanding of how different channels contribute to L&Q’s online presence.

Join our Digital Communications Team at L&Q:

L&Q is one of the UK’s largest housing associations and providers of social and affordable homes. We house around 250,000 people primarily across Greater London and Greater Manchester. Our purpose is simple – to provide social homes and landlord services that everyone can be proud of.

The L&Q Early Talent Programme has been designed to help you get the career you have always wanted. This role provides the opportunity to start a new career path with a values-led organisation that will support you to learn and develop throughout the programme and beyond.

This role is critical as L&Q increases its focus on regulatory compliance and transparency. The corporate website is the main channel for evidencing compliance, and growing requirements are significantly increasing the volume and complexity of content that must be created, maintained, and assured.

This role offers the opportunity to shape how L&Q communicates with residents at a pivotal time. You will play an important part in improving digital journeys, supporting service clarity, and strengthening trust through clear, accessible, and transparent content.

You will report into the Digital Content Manager within the Digital Content team.

If this sounds like you, we would love for you to apply!

Your impact in the role:

You will directly support departmental goals by improving content quality, ensuring regulatory compliance, enabling channel shift, and helping deliver clear, consistent digital experiences that support L&Q’s corporate strategy.

Your main duties will include:

  • Creating, managing, and optimising content on the corporate website
  • Working with business areas to review and maintain accurate, compliant content
  • Supporting the development of clear, user-focused digital journeys
  • Ensuring content meets accessibility standards

Key relationships:

  • Content owners across the business
  • Communications, Technology and Transformation teams
  • Digital colleagues

What you'll bring:

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent experience in digital communications, marketing, or related field
  • Ability to write clearly, concisely, and in a tone appropriate to the audience
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills for digital platforms
  • Understanding of content management systems, including design and delivery
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools

Desirable

  • Understanding of on-page SEO, metadata, and accessibility standards
  • Basic HTML knowledge for formatting and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with stakeholders and non-technical people
  • Ability to use tools like Google Analytics to monitor and report on site performance
  • Ability in interpreting data to inform content decisions that enhances user experience

Graduates

Successful applicants must have, and maintain, the right to work in the UK for the duration of the development programme.

If you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage during this process, including application stage, please email lqcareers@lqgroup.org.uk
