Working with person centred support plans and risk assessments our Supported Living Workers provide direct personal care using safer people handling equipment where assessed. The role can include supporting service users to manage their challenging behaviour, whilst always maintaining and promoting their independence. We adopt a multi-agency approach to support positive behaviour management, in the safest, ethical, and most appropriate way possible for those who may experience issues managing complex behaviour. Shift Patterns: Shifts patterns can include early shifts from 7.30am or late shifts up to 11pm, followed by a sleep in and/or an early shift the following day. Shifts can include sleep in duties, waking nights, weekends and bank holidays and shift patterns can change to meet the needs of the Service Users. There may be occasions to work additional hours to support the service whilst the team are on training, holidays, and sickness.
Examples of shift patterns are 7.30am - 3.00pm, 7.30am -10am and 2.30p,m -10pm. Shift patterns / rota's can include a sleep in shift, examples of times are 10pm to 8 am, or waking night of 10pm to 8 am.
Travel: Our Service Users live across several tenancies in the borough and rely on the flexibility and reliability of our teams to travel across the borough of St Helensto provide the care they need. A drivers licence is advantageous but is not essential.

About the Role

What is the opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lead Conservation Officer to join the Design and Heritage team within the Specialist Services section of our Planning Development Management Service. You will work alongside and provide specialist advice to colleagues in Development Management on all aspects of development affecting the historic environment to ensure that a high quality of place results from development proposals and applications in the borough.&nbsp; The role will involve liaising with other Services, elected Members, members of the public and applicants at both application and pre-application stage.&nbsp;You should have experience of working in a Local Authority and of providing advice on planning applications and appeals relating to Listed Buildings, Conservations Areas, Registered Parks and Gardens and their settings. Further information The successful candidates must be driven, enthusiastic and reliable. Applicants must have a driving licence which is valid in the UK and use of a vehicle or have access to frequent car use and able to carry out site visits in rural areas. The vacancy is part of a very small team, and some working hours should be across Wednesdays or Thursdays.
