Work Planner

We’re looking for a highly organised and motivated Work Planner to join our Service Improvement team. This is a key role supporting the efficient delivery of housing repairs and maintenance services across Cambridge.

You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring appointments, ensuring that work is delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Working closely with technicians, supervisors, and customer service teams, you’ll play a vital part in keeping services running smoothly and residents satisfied.

What You’ll Be Doing;

  • Coordinating and scheduling appointments for repairs and maintenance work
  • Allocating jobs to operatives and subcontractors based on priority, workload, and deadlines
  • Monitoring progress and performance to ensure targets and KPIs are met
  • Managing emergency and urgent jobs to ensure timely completion
  • Supporting the Lead Work Planner with daily work allocation and decision-making
  • Producing performance reports and analysing customer satisfaction data
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams to resolve complex enquiries
  • Coordinating resources, materials, and store requirements
  • Supporting responses to customer complaints and ensuring compliance with procedures

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in scheduling, planning, or customer service (ideally within housing, repairs, or maintenance)
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office and database systems
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Good understanding of property maintenance and trade-based services
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of health and safety and service delivery processes
  • Ability to manage and interpret data to support decision-making

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.

Salary: £32,597 - £36,363 per annum (City Pay Band 4), pro rata for part time.

Location: This is flexible – working in Cambridge on site or at one of our offices or working from home. You will be able to balance your work location accordingly.
