We’re looking for a Chief Electrician to join our Arts &amp; Venues team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical theatre experience and supervisory skills to help deliver outstanding performances, events and conferences at the Hexagon, Concert Hall, and South Street Arts Centre.

About the role:
As Chief Electrician, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all lighting, sound, and AV operations across our venues. Working closely with the Technical Manager, you’ll lead a team of technicians to ensure all events run smoothly, safely and to the highest technical standards. About you:
You’ll bring extensive experience in a busy technical theatre environment, including at least two years in a supervisory role. You’ll be confident in all aspects of lighting design and rigging (including intelligent fixtures), live sound mixing, and the set-up and operation of AV systems. A strong understanding of health and safety practices, including risk assessments and working at height, is essential. You’ll also have a good working knowledge of current electrical regulations as they apply to the theatre industry. 
In addition, you’ll be an effective team leader and communicator, capable of supervising staff, liaising with visiting companies, and ensuring smooth technical operations across multiple venues. You’ll be IT literate and able to use systems like MS Office, Artifax and Oracle. A full, clean driving licence is required, and you’ll need to be comfortable with working unsocial hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

The weekly hours are 10 hours Monday to Friday, 11:30 am till 1.30 pm on Grade B SCP 3 . This is offered together with the opportunity to work in this customer focused environment.&nbsp;
Good healthy food and friendly caring service for our pupils is a priority here at Bidston Village Primary School.We require you to work within a dedicated and friendly team to undertake food preparation and general catering duties

The role – Level 4 (Advanced technical lead) Fire Risk Assessor
This role involves conducting comprehensive fire risk assessments, across Origin Housing’s portfolio of General Needs Block and HRBs across Hertfordshire, North/Northwest London and identifying potential hazards and recommending appropriate measures to mitigate risks. The assessor will work closely with a range of stakeholders to implement fire safety protocols, provide fire safety advice, and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards. By proactively managing fire risks, the Level 4 Fire Risk Assessor plays a crucial role in safeguarding the well-being of residents and maintaining the integrity of the Origin’s properties.
What you’ll do
<ul>
<li>Conduct and review fire risk assessments in line with statutory requirements.</li>
<li>Ensure actions are identified, prioritised, and closed within compliance timeframes.</li>
<li>Assess and review fire strategies for new and existing buildings.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with Approved Document B, BS 9991, and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.</li>
<li>Act as a key technical contact for fire safety matters.</li>
<li>Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring fire safety compliance.</li>
<li>Implement and oversee a quality assurance programme for fire risk assessments.</li>
<li>Ensure consistency and adherence to best practice.</li>
<li>Evaluate fire safety proposals to ensure they are risk-proportionate and cost-effective.</li>
<li>Assess expenditure to ensure value for money in fire safety investments.</li>
<li>Provide training and support to relevant teams on fire safety management.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Asset and Compliance teams to embed a culture of fire safety.</li>
<li>Ensure changes in fire safety legislation and guidance are identified and implemented.</li>
<li>Evaluate alternative fire-related designs and lead on design standardisation.</li>
<li>Ensure fire safety specifications align with regulatory and safety standards.</li>
<li>Provide cost analysis for fire safety projects.</li>
<li>Ensure expenditure aligns with regulatory and business objectives.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and fire safety guidance.</li>
<li>Identify and mitigate potential fire safety design risks.</li>
</ul>
What you’ll need
Essential
<ul>
<li>Strong knowledge of&nbsp;fire risk assessment methodologies&nbsp;and fire safety compliance.</li>
<li>Experience in&nbsp;fire strategy review and technical assurance.</li>
<li>Understanding of&nbsp;legislative requirements, including Approved Document B, BS 9991, Building safety Act, secondary legislation and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.</li>
<li>Ability to provide&nbsp;cost analysis and ensure value-for-money fire safety solutions.</li>
<li>Stakeholder engagement and training experience, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.</li>

As part of this we have taken the approach to reimagine our Property directorate bringing together all areas relating to property, leading to better collaboration, synergy and customer centric service provision. With a stock of just over 10,000 properties, and an ambition to deliver exemplar services across Responsive Repairs, Voids, Capital Investment, Strategic Asset Management and the decarbonisation of our social housing stock data is key. We are in the closing stages of updating our stock condition survey information and already have a performance tool in place that takes this data and plots the performance of our social housing stock, helping us to make long term strategic decisions. We are seeking an exceptional individual with significant experience of managing a Housing Asset database, with the technical prowess to advise on key areas including investment decisions and business planning. You should have a proven track record of managing procurement and contract management processes, compiling Asset Management Strategies linked to data combined with excellent horizon scanning abilities to ensure current, emerging and future legislation is considered and be able to demonstrate linking data into financial business planning. &nbsp; This key role reports into the Head of Asset Management and is front and centre of our ambitious plans. The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues and contractors is required as well as tact, diplomacy and the ability to negotiate.
