About the role:
Horsham District Council is looking for&nbsp;a Principal Registered Building Inspector to lead on Building Control matters, to deliver a professional Building Control service and provide supervision to assist with the management of the work of others within the Building Control team.
As the Principal Registered Building Inspector, you will have a varied caseload of work requiring the effective application and understanding of the relevant Building Acts and associated legislation.
The role will involve working on a range of building projects, often in a fast-paced environment.&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience of progressing site inspections, dangerous structure investigations, plan checking and Building Regulation enforcement is essential.
With the emphasis on team approach, you will work closely with others within the team, whilst taking a lead role in some of the more complex developments within the area requiring a confident and professional approach. Although enjoying the support from the Head of Service and Building Control Team Leader, the position will provide autonomy to help further improve the service preparing for a successful future.
The role will include providing cover as part of our out of hours response to dangerous structures (currently under review, additional payment made if called out).
Salary breakdown:
Salary range:&nbsp;&nbsp;£50,269 - £54,495 pa
Essential Car User: up to £1,239 pa
Market Supplement: £4,000 pa
Retention Payment: £2,000 pa

About you:
To succeed as an experienced and technically competent Principal Registered Building Inspector, you will have wide ranging experience of plan checking and inspecting varied domestic and commercial schemes – registered as a CLASS 2F.
As a team player, you will be able to demonstrate a problem solving approach to work, with the ability to analyse complex technical information to make informed decisions. You will be an excellent communicator who is also able to supervise and develop others within the Building Control team e.g. trainees, other registered buildings inspectors – as required.
You will have the drive and desire to embrace new ways of working to ensure the Building Control service strives to deliver ongoing service improvements and innovation.
This role involves travelling across the district to various sites and therefore a full and current UK driving licence is essential.

Your reports will make recommendations to prevent further missing episodes based on your visit with the child. It is integral every contact is underpinned by strong engagement skills so children feel safe to talk to you and you are able to engage children who may not find that easy. You will need good people skills and experience of engaging young people effectively in creative and non-judgemental ways. You will have a caring nature and be professionally curious about why a young person has gone missing and the impact of missing on the child(ren). You will have awareness of why return home interviews are undertaken and the themes and trends around missing children. Also, your approach will be trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally competent, to ensure these responsive visits are impactful and supportive even when you may only engage with this child on a one-off occasion. While you will receive good support you will work independently, mostly carrying out visits on your own. You will be required to manage your own schedule and caseload, often under tight timeframes. The role requires extensive travel across the region, so flexibility and self-motivation and self-resilience are essential. About you
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Lecturers in Science, who can teach any or all disciplines (Biology and Chemistry), in order to contribute to the teaching and development of these subjects within our School of Science.&nbsp; You must be able to teach on AS/A2, BTEC and Higher Education courses. Experience of Access Courses would be an advantage. It is essential that you are experienced in tutoring, assessing, recording and tracking students on different courses.
The successful candidate should have a degree (or equivalent) in a related area. You should also be familiar with the current BTEC and A level curriculum and we encourage applications from teachers with a broad range of disciplines both in practice and theory
You will have sound organisational skills, your ability to work cooperatively and contribute positively and creatively to a team is also essential.
You will also possess a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment.&nbsp; Excellent communication, administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team and contribute positively and creatively are also essential in this role.

Casual Class Instructor 
An opportunity has arisen within Sefton Council for us to recruit Group Exercise Instructors to help support our six Leisure Centres Class Programme.
We are looking for qualified, enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our pool of ‘casual’ Group Exercise Instructors to teach our popular classes at Bootle Leisure Centre, Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre, Dunes Splash World, Litherland Sports Park, Meadows Leisure Centre and Netherton Activity Centre.
Required and desired classes include:
Les Mills - BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyBalance, Indoor Group Cycling, Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, Aqua and HIIT/Bootcamp, along with many others. A relevant industry/activity qualification appropriate for the class undertaken is essential.

Job requirements:

<li>The successful candidate would need to hold a recognised Group Exercise qualification.</li>
