Full time 36 hours and Part -time 18 hours

The applicants must be able to work flexibly, including shifts as allocated across the 7-day-a-week rota, including bank holidays and work alternative weekends.

This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary Care Worker to provide excellence across our services.

As a Care Worker, you will be part of the Extra Care Service within the Provider Services. Provided Services are responsible for delivering in-house community and home-based services to adults with disabilities and older people.

Extra Care Service is a Care Quality Commission ( CQC) -regulated service. As a Care Worker for the Extra Care Service, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to vulnerable adults aged 55 and over, including those with learning disabilities, helping them live independently in their own homes. Your responsibilities include supporting physical, social, and emotional needs, maintaining hygiene, documenting care standards, and escorting service users to activities, all while upholding dignity and confidentiality.

Qualifications and role requirements

The candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent, with proven experience in delivering high-quality care in health and social sector settings. You will have a strong understanding of statutory legislation, safeguarding, and Care Quality (CQC) regulations. Skilled in care planning and risk assessment, with a good understanding of IT systems, you will be able to work with a team effectively and communicate clearly with Service Users, families, and colleagues. A commitment to promoting independence, equality, and culturally sensitive practice is essential.
