About this key role As directed by the Caseworker or Team Leader, you will carry out promotional and engagement activities to recruit participants, as well as individual needs assessments with participants, obtaining information from referral agencies where possible.&nbsp; You will support participants in carrying out individual and group activities to implement their plans and make progress towards employment, plus act as a Peer Advisor to participants, providing ‘support from someone who has been there’.
We will also count on you to act as a positive role model for what participants can achieve, help develop their confidence and make referrals for specialist help, including what is available within the project, plus, as skills develop, take on a small caseload of participants.

About the Role

The Liverpool City Region Combined Mayoral Authority is recruiting a Public Affairs and Government Relations Officer to work on this exciting field in external relations and stakeholder management.
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority brings together six local authorities to tackle local issues of importance to residents of the Liverpool City Region geography. Following increased devolved powers granted to the city region of Liverpool, local authorities making up the city region are working together to utilise resources and make decisions of benefit to local communities. These include investment in transport, tackling homelessness, skills, economic growth, innovation and creating new jobs. They have recently secured over a billion in funding from the Government and have ambitious plans to make the Liverpool City Region one of the best places in the UK to live and work.
The opportunity
‍The Liverpool City Regional Mayoral Combined Authority organisation is recruiting a Government and Public Affairs Officer covering public affairs and stakeholder engagement, with a particular emphasis on running the department’s systems, relationship management processes, events and ministerial visits. The role will focus on developing ties with local businesses, trade bodies and universities, building relationships with Westminster, Whitehall and other regional authorities.
The postholder will provide timely and high-quality public affairs and government relations support to assist with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Main responsibilities

<li>-Support engagement with parliamentarians and other public affairs audiences including government, principally in Westminster and Whitehall, constituent local authorities, as well as other stakeholders on a national and regional basis.</li>
<li>-Help promote the organisation to key audiences, including through organisation of Ministerial visits to the region.</li>
<li>-Ensure appropriate communication is undertaken with constituent local authorities to build and cement relationships.</li>
<li>-Develop and maintain systems to ensure that good records of meetings with stakeholders are created, available and easily accessed.</li>
<li>-Work with the Evidence and Intelligence team and Policy Coordination team to advise colleagues on political, policy and legislative developments in Government, Parliament, relevant think tanks and other influencers within the policy communities of relevance to the organisation.&nbsp;</li>
<li>-Produce timely summaries of key developments relevant to the organisation, including Budget statements, White Papers, debates, and committee sessions.</li>
<li>-Manage the production of responses to key Government department and Select Committee consultations or calls for evidence.&nbsp;</li>

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Trainee Highway Inspector’s to join our Highway Maintenance Team. The Council is required, under its statutory duty as local highway authority, to maintain all highways which are under its control, and to co-ordinate utility works to minimise disruption on the highway network, ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with street works legislation and associated Codes of Practice.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals to play a key role in delivering these duties through highway and street works inspections, identifying highway maintenance needs, monitoring of utilities, contractors and other third parties such as developers, and liaison with all highway users including the public, as well as Council Members.&nbsp;
We have developed a Career Progression Pathway with 3 stages with a well-defined framework for progression through the stages, which would be subject to meeting the competency-based evidence at review. Successful candidates will be fully supported on their career path with rewarding work-related development and, where applicable, day release training at college.

About the Programme
Our Finance Graduate Programme&nbsp;offers a unique opportunity to gain a professional qualification, which is fully funded, while working and gaining invaluable experience. Responsibilities of the post: &nbsp;
The role of the 1:1 Teaching Assistant will be working with a named child. &nbsp;
The learning support assistant will be expected to support the class teacher in the teaching and welfare of the individual child to attain the targets set in theirpersonal learning.&nbsp;
Supporting children
1. Provide teaching support under the guidance of the class teacher to a named child in all&nbsp; areas of the curriculum, individually or in small groups.&nbsp; 2. To work with the class teacher and SENCO to assist in drawing up and undertaking the delivery of the individual pupil learning programmes, either in small intervention groups, within the classroom or 1:1 to ensure delivery of the individual's targets and curriculum.&nbsp; 3. Assist the teacher with observation and monitoring of the progress of the named child, maintaining accurate records within the special needs provision in order to ensure documentation of all interventions with the child.&nbsp; 4. To prepare differentiated work/materials for the child (under the direction of the teacher).&nbsp; 5. Promote positive behaviour patterns, raise self-esteem and improve independent working to assist in their education and growth. Provide positive reinforcements, praise and rewards to children.&nbsp; 6. Assist the teacher where necessary with preparation (and clearing away) of the learning spaces and materials to ensure effective and efficient teaching.&nbsp; 7. To ensure that children are in a caring school environment following all Safeguarding policies and procedures.&nbsp; 8. To participate in In-Service Training where appropriate.&nbsp; 9. To supervise named child in the school’s premises (including lunch-times).&nbsp; 10. Follow the Staff Code of Conduct.&nbsp; 11. To hold regular liaison time with the class teacher/SENCO and other support staff involved in the classroom.&nbsp; 12. To act in accordance with the equal opportunities policy, health and safety policy, behaviour&nbsp; policy, safeguarding and confidentiality guidelines.&nbsp; 13. To develop knowledge of the particular needs of the child and seek advice from the SENCO, class teacher and outside agencies as required.&nbsp; 14. To aid access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom&nbsp; and provide modified materials as required e.g. worksheets, games, visual prompt cards etc.&nbsp; 15. To organise and maintain an inclusive learning environment across the whole school environment.&nbsp;
Personal Specification for Learning Support Assistant 
You will need to
• Have GCSE, ‘O’ Level or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English.&nbsp; • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) &nbsp; • Have previous experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs within the last 2 years and have a clear understanding of the support needed for children with speech, language and communication, sensory and social, emotional and mental health needs.&nbsp; • Demonstrate patience, empathy and a nurturing approach when working with the child, understanding their unique challenges and providing appropriate support. &nbsp; • Have knowledge and understanding of the different social, cultural, educational and physical needs of children.&nbsp; • Have experience of EYFS learning and support&nbsp; • Model positive behaviour both in the classroom and around school.&nbsp; • Excellent interpersonal skills.&nbsp; • Previous experience with working with children.&nbsp;
You must be able to:&nbsp;
• Carry out tasks and responsibilities under the direction of the SENCo, Class Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher or Head Teacher.&nbsp; • Plan and prioritise tasks and work under the pressure of a busy inclusive primary school.&nbsp; • Be productive and show initiative.&nbsp; • Communicate effectively and appropriately to children with different abilities and ethnic backgrounds.&nbsp; • Motivate children to learn and be sociable.&nbsp; • Assist with the organisation of the learning environment. &nbsp; • Maintain accurate records of the children.&nbsp; • Work effectively with other adults in the school and widercommunity.&nbsp; • Be a responsible and trustworthy role model.&nbsp; • Have patience with children with a clear understanding of children who find learning new concepts and remembering taught concepts difficult.&nbsp; • Respect and maintain confidentiality but have regard to the safe guarding protocols of information sharing where necessary.&nbsp; • Be computer literate.&nbsp; • Attend training courses considered appropriate for the post. &nbsp;&nbsp;
