The South Derbyshire South Adult Social Work Team is recruiting a Senior Practitioner Social Worker to join our community based team. This advert covers 1 Full-Time, Fixed Term Senior Practitioner position across South Derbyshire (South), based in Swadlincote, where we are able to support agile (hybrid) flexible working across the community of South Derbyshire. You would be joining a friendly, community-based team of Social Care Practitioners and Social Workers. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be able to evidence an ability to supervise and support social care staff, including travel to support community, joint and/or occasionally out of area visits. You will take a collaborative lead on professional practice as part of day-to-day operations, including welcoming New Starters and ASYEs. The ability to identify training and development needs through Peer Group Supervision is vital and will include monitoring and developing professional ‘best practice’ standards to promote a learning culture for ongoing improvement and development. We are looking to employ a Midday Supervisor to join our enthusiastic and energetic team.&nbsp; This role is for 1.5 hours a day ie 11.30 to 1.00 pm or 11.45 – 1.15 pm. The successful candidate will become part of our MDS team who work together to drive forwards our OPAL lunchtime 'play' provision. In this role, the MDS will help to manage play zones outside such as a sand pit/tyre zone and ensure children's play in these is safe and enjoyable. The MDS will also manage behaviour in line with our school policy using ‘Trauma Perceptive Practice’ and, where needed, use a restorative approach to bring about a positive conclusion to any incident-if they occur.&nbsp;
OPAL is a school improvement programme that we joined, with the aim to strategically and sustainably improve the quality of the play opportunities on offer at our school. We are in the process of creating different play zones/play areas managed by our parliament group – ‘Healthy Heroes’. This will ultimately enhance the quality of our pupil's play now and for the future.
