Keyworker - 12 month maternity cover (with the potential to be made permanent)
The Wirral Autism &amp; Learning disabilities Keyworker (WALK) team is excited to announce that we have a new Keyworker post available to expand our current small team. The successful applicant will be employed in the Family Help Department of Wirral Council and funded by NHS England. Our team seeks to improve outcomes and life experiences for those aged 0-25 with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism and we were established in September 2022.
The NHS Long Term Plan outlines the commitment for all children and young people with a learning disability, autism, or both with the most complex needs to have a designated keyworker.
The WALK team aims to provide a new way of multi-agency working. Our work is targeted specifically to support individuals (0-25 years old, inclusive) who are diagnosed with autism and/or learning disabilities to reduce their risk of requiring inpatient mental health support, prolonged stays in a mental health hospital, or placement breakdown. This may include working with individuals who face multiple needs and vulnerabilities such as being a ‘looked after’ or adopted, are in transition between services, or are at risk of youth offending.
About the Role
This role will include working holistically and closely with young people with autism and/or learning disabilities and their families, as well as professionals from across the system. The WALK team is guided by the Dynamic Support Database (DSD) function which is held and maintained by our team. The DSD facilitates an effective multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team around the child working to address risks and meet needs.
There will be a caseload to manage in terms of supporting other professionals to collaborate and undertake agreed actions in a timely fashion, supported by your fellow keyworkers and the WALK Team Leader. Key workers will also help to organise and support Community (Education) Treatment Reviews when necessary for their cases.
About the Candidate
The successful candidate will be required to support individuals transitioning from children to adult services, ensuring their needs are still able to be met within their local community and facilitating good links during and after this transition. Specific experience of mental health support when working with children and/or adults is a highly desirable attribute for this role, and/or lived experience. Confidence in using digital platforms such as Microsoft Office and recording systems (such as Liquid Logic) is desirable, although training on Local Authority specific systems will be provided.

About the Role
Wirral’s SENDSTART team is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SEND Data &amp; Finance Officer to lead on the analysis, management and reporting of SEND finance and performance data. This role is essential to ensuring robust financial oversight and data integrity across Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes.
You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the SEND finance and pupil database, supporting budget monitoring, statutory returns and performance reporting. Working closely with commissioning, finance and casework colleagues, you’ll help ensure the service meets its statutory duties and delivers high-quality outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Design, maintain and optimise the SEND finance and pupil database as a strategic planning tool.</li>
<li>Monitor and report on financial commitments, including payments for out-of-authority placements and SEND provision in schools and colleges.</li>
<li>Prepare detailed reports for senior managers, including budget forecasts and performance analysis.</li>
<li>Support statutory returns such as SEN2 and the Alternative Provision Census.</li>
<li>Administer inter-authority payments and approve purchase orders for SEND placements and services.</li>
<li>Analyse SEND education performance data across all key stages, including benchmarking and post-16 destinations.</li>
<li>Ensure data quality through robust QA techniques and cross-referencing systems.</li>
<li>Contribute to inspections and service improvement initiatives through accurate data provision.</li>

About You
You will bring:

<li>Proven experience in financial and data analysis, ideally within a local authority or education setting.</li>
<li>Strong IT skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Business Objects).</li>

You will be based at one of the Area Housing Offices working as part of the Customer Repairs team reporting directly to the Senior Customer Repairs Officer and Assistant Customer Repairs Manager The Customer Repairs Officer role will be supporting the Building Repairs teams providing a repairs service. You will work flexibly in a call centre and be part of a rota which is regularly reviewed and adjusted appropriately to meet the demands of the service undertaking your contracted hours. You will act as the main point of contact for residents, leaseholders, PCC employees and site managers who are requesting repairs. You will need to be able to collect accurate repair information and ask effective questions ensuring that the right resource is allocated to undertake the repair at the right time that is convenient with the customer. You will also support all the Building Repairs teams providing a repairs service by carrying out a range of technical administrative duties including, updating repairs following authorisation of quotes, customer satisfaction surveys, administering Disabled Facility Grants (DFG) requests, uploading information to our stock database, arranging surveyor and annual service appointments. Skills: Your application needs to demonstrate that you: 1.	Ideally have experience in a telephone or call centre role, managing large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner 2.	Have customer service experience, strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening skills. 3. <h2>About the role</h2>The Youth Justice Team provides a critical service to children and young people in the city who have become involved in anti-social and offending behaviour. These are often vulnerable young people whose life chances are adversely affected by family difficulties &amp; breakdown, substance misuse, emotional/ mental health issues and exploitation.&nbsp;The Youth Justice team work in close partnership with colleagues in the Adolescent Service, such as the Adolescent Social Work team and Functional Family Therapy, as well as partners in Police, Probation, Children’s Services, Education, Health, Community Safety and the voluntary sector.&nbsp;We work closely with the Courts and criminal justice partners to ensure children are not unnecessarily criminalised and receive appropriate support to enable them to understand and participate in youth justice processes.We are looking to recruit a motivated, creative restorative justice co-ordinator who is committed to leading best practice in victim work and the delivery of restorative interventions. We are looking for someone with the enthusiasm and expertise to make a difference to victims and communities.&nbsp;Our model of practice is relationship-based and trauma -informed, aligned with evidence- based approaches to youth justice. &nbsp;As a Restorative Justice Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing restorative work in the service, as well as recruiting, training and supervising volunteers for Referral Order panels. &nbsp;You will need to have substantial experience working with children or young people in a statutory setting and be adept at assessing risk and need and responding to changing circumstances. You will need an understanding of child safeguarding procedures and ideally have some experience of risk management. The role requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to risk assess situations dynamically and respond appropriately.&nbsp;You will need to be committed to playing a part in challenging racism and all forms of discrimination. TheBrighton and Hove FPP &nbsp;Service has been re-configured into 4 Pods/smallteams to enhance the quality of support and supervision provided both to fostercarers and to staff. Staff in the pods get to know each other and the fosterfamilies they are working with.
Thesechanges have had a positive impact on the work of the service supporting andenabling fostering social workers to build positive relationships with theirfoster carers and to develop the service further. The pod system is based onproviding emotional containment for social work staff and ensuring staff feelsupported in their role.
Thesupervision model developed includes group supervision, 1:1 supervision, andReflective Practice Groups for practitioners and managers at every level.&nbsp;

<h2>About the role</h2>The Fostering Service is composed of 3 support and supervision Pods, and a Recruitment Pod. The post is primarily located in a supervision and support Pod with the potential for some recruitment support.
