We are looking to appoint a Sheltered Housing Support Officer to our Independent Living Team. South Derbyshire District Council has a housing stock of circa 3000 properties of which a third are currently designated as sheltered. We are aiming for excellence and invite you to be integral to that process. The Independent Living Service provides help and assistance around the clock, 365 days of the year to customers who live independently in their own homes. The Independent living service is in essence two teams. At the Careline Control Centre a team of experienced operators provide a 24-hour monitoring and emergency call service for vulnerable adults who live within the district. This team works closely with the Careline Support Co-ordinators Team who provide a regular routine visiting service and a 24-hour emergency response service throughout the district. We are currently looking to develop the service and wish to appoint a part time Sheltered Housing Support Officer who will have the commitment and flexibility to ensure this valuable service is delivered to the high standards our customers expect and deserve. As a Sheltered Housing Support Officer, you will be guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours per week providing cover for members of either the Careline or Careline Support Co-ordinator teams. Due to the nature of the service, you may be required to work nights, weekends and other unsociable hours. To be successful in this role you will need to be a self-motivated and flexible individual who has the ability to work to high customer care standards with minimum supervision. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will need to be flexible and willing to step in to cover your colleagues when on holiday or sick leave. Our 6 Community Hospitals and 3 Community Support Beds offer short-term assessment and reablement/ rehabilitation to people across Derbyshire. They help people to regain confidence and maximise their independence, in order to return home wherever possible. They are used to support people leaving hospital, requiring an urgent community response or who would benefit from reablement in a bedded care setting (this is Derbyshire’s ‘Pathway 2’/intermediate care service). Job Description Job Title: Casual Trainer Salary: £15.16 per hour Grade: C Contract: Zero-hour Casual Contract on an As &amp; When Required Basis An exciting opportunity has arisen for Casual Trainers to work within the Caring for Thurrock Business Team supporting the Residential and Community teams by providing mandatory training courses for around 300 staff within the Services. About the Role 
 
Are you ready to play a key role in delivering and supporting critical Council infrastructure and applications? As an Applications Packaging and Deployment Engineer, you’ll be responsible for packaging, releasing, and deploying software across the organization, ensuring compliance, technical excellence, and continuous improvement. 
A core part of your role will be to own and maintain the Council’s central register of applications keeping it accurate, up to date, and coordinating with stakeholders to validate requirements, versioning, and licensing. 
You’ll work under procedural control, sometimes supervising less senior team members, and may be required to provide out-of-hours support. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
 
 - Package applications using established workflows and deployment tools, primarily Microsoft Intune. 
 - Oversee technical dependencies, compliance, and lifecycle management for Council services. 
 - Test, document, and coordinate new releases and deployments, including technical release notes and training. 
 - Maintain and regularly update the master list of applications (central register), ensuring accuracy and completeness. 
 - Collaborate with IT management, business units, and external partners to deliver high-quality services. 
 - Support infrastructure upgrades, patch management, and data cleansing. 
 - Promote best practices in quality assurance, health &amp; safety, equality, and safeguarding. 
 
The Ideal Candidate 
 
 - Extensive experience delivering service support for IT specializations. 
 - Demonstrable technical experience in application packaging and deployment using Microsoft Intune.

What is required?

<li>On qualifying you will need to pass regular competency tests.</li>
