Additionally, you will be responsible for training and supervising the team of Surveyors by answering questions, reviewing their work and drawings when necessary, and assisting at all stages of the process to deliver mandatory Disabled Facilities Grants. You will be supervised by and report directly to the Disabled Facilities Grants Manager.What will you be doing?The role of Private Sector Housing Senior Surveyor will be varied yet rewarding. The Property Team are an integral part of the Council and are key in managing the property portfolio effectively and efficiently. As an Asset Management Support Assistant based within this team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team in the development, implementation and monitoring of asset management activities. You will assist our Asset Manager and Project Officers in ensuring that the councils asset information is up to date and accurate, and help to ensure the teams activities meet all regulatory, good practice and legal obligations, ensuring the safety of our properties, tenants, colleagues and visitors.This role offers hands-on experience while working towards the Housing and property management (level 3) apprenticeship. You’ll have all the support you need to learn new skills whilst working with us and will spend 20% of your time in the role on your studies. We have a vacancy for a Planning Policy Technical Officer to take on an important role in our Planning Policy Team and support the preparation of our new local plan. The successful candidate will take a leading role in the technical elements of the preparation of a new local plan, such as the management, collation and preparation of data, GIS support and preparation of maps, development of a digital plan and maintenance of the key databases for engagement. They will also be the main contact point for the team for internal and external communication and support with arrangements for consultation exercises.
