We do not expect the successful applicant to have experience with these animals because full training and support will be provided; our expectation is that you have a love of animals as we do.
This position will require limited weekend work to check and feed the animals. Hours will be fairly flexible depending on the needs of the farm and will be discussed at interview.
In addition to the 16 hours available for this position, there may be the possibility of an additional 10 hours available supporting teachers to prepare for lessons. Again, this can be discussed further with you.

About the Role
As a Senior Planning Officer, you’ll manage a varied and challenging caseload with minimal supervision. You’ll be responsible for assessing and determining planning applications and appeals, engaging in pre-application discussions, and contributing to enforcement actions. You’ll also represent the Council at Planning Committees, public inquiries, and hearings, ensuring high-quality outcomes that align with our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Assess planning proposals and prepare detailed reports and recommendations.</li>
<li>Conduct site visits and manage applications under delegated powers or via Planning Committee.</li>
<li>Lead pre-application discussions and provide clear, timely advice.</li>
<li>Present reports to Members’ Working Parties, Committees, and external organisations.</li>
<li>Liaise with internal departments, external bodies, and the public to ensure compliance and collaboration.</li>
<li>Investigate breaches of planning control and contribute to enforcement actions.</li>
<li>Prepare and present appeal statements and act as professional witness at hearings and inquiries.</li>
<li>Support the Head of Planning Services in delivering a responsive, customer-focused service.</li>
<li>Respond to Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations requests.</li>

What We’re Looking For
<ul>
<li>At least two years’ experience in Development Management or planning policy.</li>
<li>Proven ability to handle complex planning proposals and appeals.</li>
<li>Strong negotiation, analytical, and organisational skills.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing and public presentations.</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of planning legislation and guidance.</li>
<li>Eligible for membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).</li>
<li>Proficient in IT systems including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.</li>
<li>A proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.</li>

Ashley High School are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Maths teacher to join our outstanding team. We are seeking a primary trained or special education specialist teacher with experience of Autism/social communication and SEMH. The successful candidate will have the ability to form positive relationships and adapt to the needs of the pupils.
Required for maternity cover from as soon as possible&nbsp;and is expected to end on 17th July 2026 without the need for notice, or upon notice in accordance with Part 9 of GTCE in the event of the early return of the postholder, whichever is the sooner.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering Maths lessons and qualifications across the school (You may be required to teach other subjects as and when necessary).&nbsp; The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching qualifications such as Entry Level and Level 1 Functional Skills and be able to teach to a wide range of abilities. Differentiation and individualised learning strategies are vital skills required to meet the needs of all our pupils who will have had varying degrees of success in their educational lives. You will also be expected to co-ordinate (although not necessarily teach all) Numeracy across the school working closely with the Maths and Literacy Co-ordinators. You will also have the additional responsibility of being a form tutor.&nbsp;
You will be tasked with creating exciting and inventive curriculums, aiming to utilise all of your resources and looking far beyond the confines of a classroom. This truly is an amazing opportunity to develop subjects with learning and engagement at the core of everything do.
