In this role, you will be responsible for calculating service charges, reserve funds, shared ownership rent, and ground rent, while ensuring that our residents receive top-notch customer service.
Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with colleagues to produce accurate estimated and actual invoices, maintaining the service charge database, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. You will be instrumental in collating financial records for property service charges and managing accountancy functions related to billing and recharging. Additionally, you will issue Section 20B notices and provide supporting information for leaseholder inquiries, disputes, and legal challenges.
We are looking for candidates with extensive knowledge of leasehold management and financial processes, including preparation of annual property accounts and an understanding of S20 consultation processes. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite are essential. Your ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders will be key to your success in this role.
As part of our team, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our Homeownership Services, prepare performance reports, and assist with budget monitoring. Property Services Apprentice

We are recruiting for a Bereavement Services Officer to assist with the day-to-day operation and provision of the service including, Cremation and Burial paperwork, leased memorials, filing, typing; to provide cover for sickness and leave: to assist with reception duties and to provide support to the Cremation Technicians, which could include training to carry out cremations. You will undertake burial and cremation administration. This will include entering of information into bespoke databases, working with mapping software and undertaking searches of registers. Highdown Gardens is an 8 1⁄2 acre public garden, located around 1km from the West Sussex Coast and is on the south face of a chalk hill in the South Downs. Part of the garden is a former chalk quarry and it was no doubt the fascinating topography that led its founder to choose it as the site to build a broad collection of trees, shrubs, bulbs, alpines and other herbaceous specimens from around the world. Many of these plants were collected in the wild and some were among the first of their kind to be grown outside of their native environment. The garden was set up as a charitable trust by the gardens founders and Worthing Borough Council was made the sole trustee. Your role will be to form part of the team of four horticulturists that care for and maintain this prestigious collection. You will work with the Head Gardener and Curator, the Visitor Experience Manager as well as a large number of volunteers. You will be practical, skilful and knowledgeable, preferably with experience of working with alpines as well as the propagation of a broad number of plant types.
