This team plays a key role in assessing the costs of large-scale electricity transmission infrastructure projects, including offshore, onshore and interconnector developments, to ensure they deliver value for money for consumers. </p><p>This is a cost-focused infrastructure role, ideal for someone with experience in engineering economics, capital project delivery or infrastructure cost modelling. You’ll lead the scrutiny of detailed cost submissions from developers, benchmark costs across projects and help shape the regulatory decisions that guide billions of pounds of investment in the UK’s energy networks. </p><p>You’ll be responsible for managing the assessment of multiple major projects each year, working closely with internal colleagues, external consultants and project developers. Your analysis will directly influence how efficiently these projects are delivered and how costs are controlled. </p><p>Key responsibilities include leading detailed cost assessments, comparing and benchmarking submissions, and producing clear, evidence-based recommendations to support regulatory decisions. We are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants to commence as soon as possible.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>Abbey Court caters for pupils aged 3-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties, and is currently located on 2 Strood sites; Cliffe Road (Nursery, Primary and new Secondary provision designed and purpose built specifically to meet the needs of our pupils) and Rede Court Road (Further Education). The primary site is also home to our school farm! &nbsp;</p>
<p>Childcare experience, or relevant childcare qualifications are desirable but not essential.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>Due to the conditions and complex needs of the pupils at Abbey Court School, continuity and consistency of support is paramount and therefore candidates for all positions will need to commit to the full working hours of the post. &nbsp;If you cannot commit to full-time, we are often looking for supply bank staff, please indicate on the application form.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>We are fully committed to safeguarding and protecting the children at Abbey Court School.
