<h4>Job summary</h4><p>Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. Our primary responsibility is to protect energy consumers, especially the most vulnerable, while at the same time working with government, industry and consumer groups to deliver a clean, more affordable and secure net-zero energy system at the lowest cost to consumers and drive economic growth. </p><p>We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Offshore Cost Assessment team within our Major Projects Directorate. This team plays a key role in assessing the costs of large-scale electricity transmission infrastructure projects, including offshore, onshore and interconnector developments, to ensure they deliver value for money for consumers. </p><p>This is a cost-focused infrastructure role, ideal for someone with experience in engineering economics, capital project delivery or infrastructure cost modelling. You’ll lead the scrutiny of detailed cost submissions from developers, benchmark costs across projects and help shape the regulatory decisions that guide billions of pounds of investment in the UK’s energy networks. </p><p>You’ll be responsible for managing the assessment of multiple major projects each year, working closely with internal colleagues, external consultants and project developers. Your analysis will directly influence how efficiently these projects are delivered and how costs are controlled. </p><p>Key responsibilities include leading detailed cost assessments, comparing and benchmarking submissions, and producing clear, evidence-based recommendations to support regulatory decisions. You’ll manage project timelines, oversee external consultants and coordinate work across the team. You’ll also engage with developers and stakeholders to test assumptions and challenge proposals, contributing to internal reports, consultations and impact assessments that shape how infrastructure investment is regulated. </p><p>We’re looking for someone with strong analytical skills and experience interpreting complex cost or technical information. You’ll have a background in infrastructure project assessment, engineering economics or capital cost modelling, and be confident communicating technical findings in a clear and straightforward way. </p><p> You’ll bring proven experience managing projects or work packages to tight deadlines and be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders including industry, government and technical advisers. Environmental Crime, such as Fly Tipping and Littering, is becoming a national issue but Dartford Borough Council are dealing with this problem robustly and are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our extremely busy Environmental Crime Enforcement Team.&nbsp; We are looking for someone, ideally, with an enforcement background, capable of working on their own but who is also a strong team player who can fit into a busy multi- agency environment.</p>
<p>Waste, Public Realm &amp; Enforcement Services is a multi service environment and you will also be involved, on occasions, with the work of other officers who deal with enforcement, parks and open spaces, events, licencing and town centre business crime partnerships. On occasions, you may deputise for the senior environmental enforcement officer, attend and contribute at regular information and best practice meetings, with other regional borough environmental enforcement teams, the KCC intelligence team, when required. Previous experience of working in a law enforcement, security, community safety or similar role is desirable as is dealing with the public in, sometimes, difficult situations with the ability to stay calm under pressure. Relevant knowledge of environmental crime legislation would be advantageous, but more important is the ability to be confident, diplomatic and assertive. Good ICT skills are required together with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. You should also enjoy analysing information and problem solving as this will be an integral part of the role.</p>

<li>You should be capable of carrying out detailed investigations and interviews, often in partnership with the Police or Environment Agency, to tackle fly tipping and other environmental crime offences.</li>
<li>You will be required to prepare case files and attend Court to give evidence.</li>
<li>The interviewing of alleged offenders, statement taking, case file preparation/case building along with intelligence gathering, and dissemination, court attendance and giving evidence are key elements of this position.</li>
<li>You will be involved in promoting public awareness of environmental crime issues as well as other duties that may include dealing with unauthorised encampments, fly grazing, public space protection orders and offences associated with Civil Enforcement.</li>
<li>You should be conversant with relevant legislation and guidance such as the Environmental Protection Act 1990, Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 and the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.</li>
<li>You will be required to operate both on foot and in a vehicle, performing duties such as visiting sites of fly tipping and fly posting etc. to obtain and record evidence.</li>
<li>You will be required to take the appropriate enforcement actions, such as serving of a summons to court or issuing Fixed Penalty Notices for environmental crime offences.</li>
</ul>
<p>Some evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working may be required for which a 10% allowance is paid. You should have a full, clean driving licence as you may, on occasions, be required to use your own vehicle, for which an allowance will be paid.</p>

In addition to this the Substance Misuse Social Work Team undertake Care Act assessments for HMP Brixton and social work within the Homeless Hostels.&nbsp;</p>  <p>The Practitioner Manager is responsible for managing the daytime social care service alongside the team manager, ensuring that a quality, responsive, safe, and person-centred service to support which promotes the well-being of Lambeth residents is delivered.&nbsp; The role also includes leading on specialist areas across the other services and managing some service areas jointly with the other PMs.&nbsp;</p> <p>The PM will supervise up to 8 social care staff in the team. The PM will ensure that statutory assessments are assigned and completed in a timely manner within expected performance targets and quality standards. This will include supporting social workers through managing their cases, and complex cases, the court of protection, safeguarding procedures, and authorising assessments with a view to supporting them to produce high quality, strength-based work. <p>Horsham District Council is looking for a Learning and Development Adviser to join our Human Resources and Organisational Development team to support and respond to the learning and development needs of the Council’s workforce and Elected Members. You will co-ordinate and deliver training across all levels of the organisation to ensure that staff have the knowledge, understanding, skills and motivation to carry out their roles effectively, while also supporting their development so they can fulfil their potential and contribute fully to the Council’s corporate objectives.</p>
<p>As Learning &amp; Development Adviser you will design, develop and deliver a wide range of training and development programmes, including workplace soft skills, wellbeing and Equality, Diversity &amp; Inclusion training. You will work closely with the Head of HR &amp; OD and managers across the Council to identify learning and development needs, support the use of apprenticeships and professional qualifications, and promote a strong learning and development culture. You will also maintain the Council’s Learning Management System, keep accurate training records, evaluate the impact of learning activity, and help commission and manage external training providers where appropriate. Hybrid working will be in line with departmental arrangements.</p>
<p><strong>About you:</strong></p>
<p>To succeed as Learning and Development Adviser, you will be someone with a sound understanding of the principles of adult learning and the training cycle, with experience of designing and delivering learning using a variety of methods. You will be confident building relationships, communicating and presenting to a wide range of stakeholders, and able to work effectively as part of a team. You will also have an understanding of apprenticeships and the apprenticeship levy, be highly organised, able to manage and prioritise your workload, and demonstrate a flexible, customer-focused approach. Experience of learning needs analysis, e-learning design, or holding (or working toward) a CIPD or similar qualification would be an advantage.</p>
