We do this by targeting key issues through project work and the delivery of high-quality training to our colleagues in Brent schools and settings. Working with senior EPs, our dynamic team of Assistant EPs have devised and delivered a highly regarded programme of in-service training, making full use of technology, to reach as wide an audience as possible. We are proud of the fact that over 100 ELSAs have now been trained and are present in 60% of Brent schools; our annual ELSA conference has become the most attended education conference in the LA.
\n
Our EBSA project created a Practice Framework for schools. Last year, the EPS set up and now leads on a multi-agency panel that makes decisions about support for children who are unable to attend school on mental health grounds. There is an ongoing programme of training for EBSA and other key topics, including Precision Teaching, ADHD in the Classroom and Literacy Support. There is dedicated EP support to our colleagues in the Brent Virtual School.
\n
We work in collaboration with colleagues in the wider Inclusion Service, where the EPS sits and has a leadership role. Across the service, there is a renewed commitment to develop our anti-racist and culturally sensitive practice. Serving a truly diverse population is one of the most rewarding elements of being an EP in Brent; we are committed to ensuring that our team reflects this diversity.
\n
The Person
\n
Brent is a service that is growing fast and there will be numerous opportunities for colleagues who wish to develop their skills and progress their career through our current and future service initiatives. The post will appeal to those who want the freedom to develop their individual style of practice and pursue areas of interest. You should also be keen for this development to be anchored within a strong team, where the actions of one colleague are of interest to all. We welcome applicants from current Year 3 TEPs.
\n
For further information call the PEP on 07436704330 frank.glennon@brent.gov.uk
\n
Associate EPs: Contact the PEP if you are interested in work as an Associate EP.
\n
Applicants must be professionally qualified and registered with the HCPC.
\n
Closing date: 3 November 2024 (23:59)
\n

\n
Additional Information
\n
\n
If you are interested in applying for this job, please start by clicking the \"Apply Now\" button below.
