We have recently created a new Senior Technical officer post to work within the Revenues and Benefits section.
The post will be part of an existing Technical Team maintaining the integrity and availability of the Housing Benefit computer systems - NEC Benefits and Civica 360 (Comino) and Revenues Civica (open revenues) systems.
We are looking for a candidate with experience of running reports and scripts using SQL and UNIX within NEC Benefits system, and who have led a Technical Team through upgrades, testing and the year-end processes.
We would also expect the successful candidates to be able to: ·
Lead on the development and implementation of a Systems and Development strategy plan, advising the Revenues and Benefits Management Team to drive performance into the top quartile during the next 3-5 years and strengthening the delivery of the long-term service strategy for the Revenues and Benefits Service. ·
To research new initiatives, formulate policy and deliver business and process improvement programmes related to the use of new technology. ·
Lead the Team through testing and implementing any new releases and upgrades to the systems. and·
To project manage any changes to the Revenues and Benefits ICT systems.
