About this Role
We are looking to appoint a high-calibre Personal Assistant to provide managerial, secretarial, personnel, administration and clerical duties ensuring the highest quality presentation of all documents and to organise and present information for reports in a variety of formats. The &nbsp;successful candidate will provide proactive support and guidance to the Headteachers, both operationally and strategically. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for managing relevant administrative systems and personnel.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

<li>Proven experience in administrative roles within a busy school environment.</li>

<li>A solid understanding of general school policies and procedures.</li>

<li>Capability to maintain accurate records and share information with colleagues as needed, while also knowing when to refer matters on.</li>

<li>Familiarity with School MIS systems, preferably Bromcom.</li>

About the role:
Horsham District Council is looking for a Health and Wellbeing Administrator to join our established Health and Wellbeing team to support the delivery of the Wellbeing Service across the Horsham District. The Wellbeing Service is part of a county-wide programme in West Sussex to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent ill-health within our local communities. The service provides information, advice and signposts local people to services for help and support.
As Health and Wellbeing Administrator, you will act as the first point of contact to the service welcoming people at our Wellbeing Hub reception in Horsham town centre and dealing with enquiries via telephone and email. You will be responsible for organising appointments, making and receiving referrals, updating the website and providing administration support to the Wellbeing Team and associated projects.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Education Access and Support service. You will be the first point of contact for professionals and members of the public related to queries regarding fixed penalty notices (FPN’s) and support the team with implementing procedures to ensure notices are issued correctly and families are supported to make payments. Your role will be important to supporting our strategic priority of improving school attendance in Reading.
Key responsibilities
<ul>
<li>To implement procedures related to fixed penalty notices, including reviewing information and initial agreement to issue, creating and sending the notice, and ensuring payment of the notice.</li>
<li>Working with relevant departments, such as finance, to track status of payments for all FPNs issued and follow up appropriate with those unpaid and working with the attendance support team where payment remains outstanding</li>
<li>To oversee the smooth running of and maintenance of office systems, ensuring databases are accurate and enable collation of information to respond to both national and local reporting when required; specific to FPNs.

The Role
Supporting the work of the supported housing improvement programme (SHIP) multi-disciplinary team. The team are tasked with scrutinising all aspects of supported housing provision to ensure it provides value for money, good quality accommodation and support service. The Role: Keeping the Wheels Turning
You will be a key player in the operational delivery of statutory licensing initiatives, ensuring the Council meets its obligations for markets, shop fronts, and street trading licenses across the borough. Primarily office-based, you'll be the go-to person for processing applications, managing records, and providing essential support. This dynamic role involves:
- Licensing Administration:&nbsp;Efficiently processing all types of license applications (new, variations, temporary, permanent) for markets, shop fronts, and street trading, ensuring timely and accurate issuance.
- Financial Management:&nbsp;Monitoring payments for market pitch fees and commercial operations, actively recovering arrears, and reconciling daily and monthly income.
- Customer Service Excellence:&nbsp;Being the first point of contact for applicants, traders, and the public, dealing with inquiries and complaints with a high standard of service in person, by phone, and email.
- Data Management:&nbsp;Maintaining accurate records of licenses, payments, trader information (including public liability insurance and certifications), and enforcement actions. You'll also provide statistical reports and manage customer records.
- Operational Support:&nbsp;Coordinating meeting bookings, assisting with HR support (leave, sickness, timesheets, recruitment), and compiling Health and Safety plans.
- Compliance &amp; Enforcement:&nbsp;Assisting in ensuring compliance with legislation, preparing evidence for Officer Licensing Panels and court cases, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
This role requires a flexible approach to working hours, including mandatory weekend work and occasional public holidays to meet service requirements.
