The Role

As a Business Analyst at the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) you will join an established and supportive community of Business Analysts and work across all areas of projects and service lifecycle as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Role

The Health Improvement Service is responsible for a range of topic areas, relating to children and young people’s health and wellbeing, physical activity and healthy lifestyles, mental health and wellbeing, food, nutrition and workplace health.The Children and Young People’s Public Health team are responsible for improving and protecting the health of children and young people in North Somerset, which includes maternity, early years (0-5) and school aged years (5-19).In this important job share role you will have responsibility for leading workstreams relating to children and young people’s health within the Health Improvement Service as listed below.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Commission and contract manage Public Health Nursing (Health Visitors and School Nursing)</li><li>Focus on school aged years (5-19) of the Healthy Child Programme</li><li>Line management responsibility of the Children and Young Peoples (5-19) Advanced Public Health Practitioner and matrix management of team colleagues</li><li>National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP)</li><li>INTENT smoking and vaping prevention programme (11-15)</li><li>Work with the Children and Young People’s Public Health team to contribute to service improvements, inform policies and embed new ways of working to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities</li><li>Plan, develop, implement and evaluate a range of health improvement programmes related to children and young people’s health</li></ul>This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.Valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.This position is based at our Weston-super-Mare offices.Work StyleAt North Somerset Council, we offer a hybrid working environment based on four distinct work styles.
