The Role: Make Magic Happen in Public Spaces
You will be the first point of contact for traders and customers, providing high-quality service and resolving issues with a calm and confident approach. This dynamic role involves being out on the market for 80% of your trading day, monitoring activities, checking licenses, and ensuring adherence to regulations. You'll play a vital part in:
- Supporting Traders:&nbsp;Assisting with stall setup and breakdown, and building positive relationships with license holders.
- Ensuring Compliance:&nbsp;Carrying out regular checks on stall sizes, commodities, and licenses, and advising traders on their responsibilities. You'll also identify and report any breaches, supporting enforcement action.
- Promoting Growth:&nbsp;Supporting income-generating activities and identifying new trading opportunities and businesses.
- Maintaining Standards:&nbsp;Reporting defects, ensuring market cleanliness, and managing public highway obstructions.

An opportunity has arisen within Sefton Council for a part-time leisure attendant, based at Bootle Leisure Centre to join the team. The post is for a fully qualified NPLQ lifeguard to work as part of a team, ensuring customer safety and high standards of service and customer care are always maintained.&nbsp; This role requires constant supervision of the poolside; you will need to be fully focused with the ability to remain vigilant, alert, and attentive.&nbsp; This position involves the setting up of equipment to meet the needs of the programmed activities and to undertake cleaning tasks to ensure the centre is well presented to the highest standard.&nbsp; The candidate will have a friendly and approachable manner to always maintain a high level of customer service.&nbsp; The candidate must be NPLQ qualified and must be able to demonstrate competency. &nbsp;Ongoing monthly training is also required.
Qualifications - It is essential you have a current Royal Lifesaving Society National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. A first aid at work qualification, AED and pool plant operator’s certificate are also desirable.
Skills and Experience - The Leisure Attendant should ideally be able to demonstrate a level of experience and knowledge commensurate with the position.

The Listening Place is a volunteer-led charity aiming to transform how we support people who feel suicidal.&nbsp;Our trained volunteers are part of a team delivering face-to-face, confidential, ongoing support to thousands of people each year.&nbsp; They help create the warm and welcoming environment that encourages people struggling with suicidal thoughts and feelings to talk openly without being judged or given advice.&nbsp; &nbsp;
We are looking for Helping Volunteers to join our team at our new site based near Liverpool Street. Helping Volunteers are responsible for welcoming visitors onto our premises, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere (along with a cup of tea), and supporting our Listening Volunteers to help everything run smoothly.
We are looking for volunteers who have the empathy to greet distressed visitors, the willingness to undertake a variety of admin and other tasks and the resilience to support their team.&nbsp; Our HVs need to be proactive, self-starters and team players with a basic understanding of IT. We ask for a weekly commitment of four hours for a period of at least six months.

In order to ensure continuity for our visitors we require a one-year minimum commitment from our LVs, as well as three months’ notice of intention to leave.
No experience or qualifications are necessary – we provide full training in active listening.&nbsp; We look for warmth, empathy and resilience in our volunteers and the ability to be non-judgemental and avoid giving advice.
