Working in collaboration with the Assistant Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality curriculum and provide the necessary support to help all learners excel and achieve their potential in our vibrant teaching and learning environment. The role also involves supporting the Assistant Principal in effectively leading and managing the department to meet the College's strategic objectives, behaviours, and targets outlined in the Strategic Plan.
With an annual teaching requirement, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge to unlock potential whilst guiding our learners through their studies. You will work as part of the curriculum team to create and deliver lessons across a range of qualification levels, inspiring achievement and the best possible outcomes. The Equine centre at Hadlow has extensive facilities, including two indoor arenas, a large outdoor arena and stabling for 64 horses. Teaching resources also include a horse walker, mechanical horse, anatomy models, tack and equipment for a range of disciplines, and an extensive range of scientific and practical teaching resources.&nbsp; We welcome regular guest speakers and experts from industry to enrich the department delivery and learner experience, these have included vets, nutritionists, emergency services, and the British Groom’s Association.
You will be leading a diverse team of Equine Lecturers, Riding Instructors and Equine Grooms to provide excellent teaching, learning and assessment opportunities. As part of the role, you will ensure the team prepare, teach, and assess at a variety of qualification levels. These include vocational BTEC qualifications at Level 1 to Level 3. As well as a Higher Education qualification (Foundation Degree) with our partnership with the University of Greenwich. In addition, you will support the academic team to facilitate study tours to enhance the student study programme with previous trips including visits to Badminton Horse Trials, Lingfield Racecourse, New Forest, animal rescue and veterinary centres. As part of the role, you will work closely with industry professionals to enhance the curriculum provision and employability of equine learners.
To excel in this position, you will need a degree-level qualification and relevant industry experience in Equine along with a full Level 5 (or higher) teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed/PGCE). Ideally, you will have experience in curriculum planning and development, and a proven record of delivering teaching and learning at a consistently good or outstanding level, and the ability to lead and manage a skilled, professional team to achieve outstanding results.

We are looking to appoint a committed and experienced HLTA to work with our pupils in our brand new SEND Unit for children with SEMH – Social, Emotional &amp; Mental Health needs.
We are seeking to employ an experienced HLTA with expertise in supporting pupils, with a range of additional and significant needs, particularly SEMH difficulties. The HLTA will work in the team, be led, and line managed by our SEND Unit Lead. Staff work in a positive and collaborative environment where the needs of the children are at the heart of all best practice and decision-making. The team will also work together to establish the SEND Unit to ensure it becomes integral to the provision of the whole school.

Teaching resources also include a horse walker, mechanical horse, anatomy models, tack and equipment for a range of disciplines, and an extensive range of scientific and practical teaching resources.&nbsp; We welcome regular guest speakers and experts from industry to enrich the department delivery and learner experience, these have included vets, nutritionists, emergency services, and the British Groom’s Association. You will have the opportunity to exercise College horses or bring your own horse on livery or loan.
You will be joining a diverse team of Equine Lecturers, Riding Instructors and Equine Grooms to provide excellent teaching, learning and assessment opportunities. As part of the role, you’ll be required to prepare, teach, and assess at a variety of qualification levels, providing support and guidance to your learners as they progress through their studies. You will also facilitate study tours to enhance the student study programme with previous trips including visits to Badminton Horse Trials, Lingfield Racecourse, New Forest, animal rescue and veterinary centres. As part of the role, you will work closely with industry professionals to enhance the curriculum provision and employability of equine learners.

About you&nbsp;
The A-Levels, Science, Higher Education Career Cluster has an opportunity for a suitably qualified part time lecturer.&nbsp;
The successful candidate should have a degree (or equivalent) in a related area. You should also be familiar with the current A Level Biology curriculum and we encourage applications from teachers with a broad range of disciplines both in practice and theory.&nbsp;
Good interpersonal and the ability to work with and relate to students of all ages and abilities and earn their respect and help them to develop to their full potential will be highly beneficial in this role. The successful applicant must also take a student-centred approach, with the ability to offer flexible and stimulating group teaching and classroom management and motivation of students in the 16 -19 age range.&nbsp;
The successful applicant will coordinate the effective delivery of the A Level Biology study programmes across various levels providing academic leadership for students, creating a curriculum that is engaging, relevant and coherent and in line with local and national priorities. As a Lecturer in A Level Biology, you will develop and maintain up to date industry knowledge, bringing in industry professionals, where possible, that are relevant to the curriculum and the employability and skills needs of students. You will support and motivate learners to meet their individual aspiration and goals and will coordinate the tracking of learners’ achievements. In your role you will lead study programmes to attain outstanding achievement and student retention and progression.&nbsp;
You will have sound organisational skills, your ability to work cooperatively and contribute positively and creatively to a team is also essential.&nbsp;
We welcome candidates with industry experience, and you will have the opportunity to work towards a teaching qualification. The role will require you to work towards a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment.&nbsp;
