<h2>About the role</h2>
The Committee Services team has a vacancy for a Principal Committee Manager, supporting the work of the London Assembly and its committees. You will work in a team that also provides key clerking support across the GLA Group to the London Assembly, Mayor of London, Transport for London, London Legacy Development Corporation and the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation.

To thrive, you’ll need excellent communication skills, the ability to manage and prioritise your time effectively, an eye for detail and a collaborative approach.
We’re looking for candidates with real enthusiasm who have experience of managing meetings, the ability to work effectively in a complex, political and high-profile organisation and a firm grasp of the use and application of IT systems. Knowledge of the role of scrutiny in a local authority setting would be advantageous.

Bracknell Forest Council’s Parks &amp; Countryside service manages over 300 hectares of diverse green spaces, from wildflower meadows and ancient woodlands to children’s play areas and sports pitches.
We are a dedicated team focused on maintaining and improving these spaces to benefit both nature and the community. Our commitment to high-quality green infrastructure is reflected in the restoration of two of our historic parks, made possible by funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund.

<h3>Key responsibilities…</h3>
<ul>
<li>Organisation and coordination of the Ranger team, monitoring performance and delivery to ensure that sites are safe, clean, welcoming and maintained in accordance with good practice.&nbsp; This includes site inspections, work programming, undertaking maintenance tasks and preventing and clearing litter&nbsp;</li>
<li>Co-ordinate and supervise the work of a team of Rangers, including delivery of Warden activities such as public liaison, byelaw enforcement, promoting community safety and provision of a rapid response and repair service.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Correspondence with residents, contractors, wildlife and interest groups, parish and town councils, sporting and recreation clubs and other council services around the delivery of green space provision.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Co-ordinate all health and safety matters relating to the Ranger teams, including undertaking routine health and safety inspections and implement appropriate schemes to ensure the safety of staff, volunteers and visitors.&nbsp; Ensure security and maintenance of buildings, vehicles and equipment and carry out regular checks, including monitoring and recording of data.</li>

Your ‘home’ library will be Whitegrove Library, but you will work an average of 28.5 hours per week, on a 3 week roster, across the Libraries in our Borough, so you must be able to work flexibly and travel between branches. Location: Midlands - Covering Sir Herbert Leon Academy, Charles Warren Academy, Lea Forest Primary Academy and Greenwood Academy Salary: NJC 24 - 27 £34,314 - £37,035 + wellbeing cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefitsHours: 37 hours, 52.14 weeksContract: Permanent Join our team and make a differenceWe are seeking to appoint a committed and experienced Area Site Manager to oversee site operations across our academies in the Midlands region, with direct responsibility for the facilities at Sir Herbert Leon Academy, Charles Warren Academy, Lea Forest Primary Academy, and Greenwood Academy. Proven experience in facilities or site management, strong leadership and organisational skills, and a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations are essential. You will lead and support School Facilities Managers at each academy, ensuring that all premises are managed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Trust standards. A full driving licence is required for this role.Key Responsibilities<ul>
<li>Oversee day-to-day site operations across the four academies.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with School Operations Manager to ensure consistent, high quality service delivery.</li>
<li>Ensure all buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard, promoting a safe and welcoming learning environment.</li>
<li>Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and statutory requirements.</li>
<li>Coordinate and oversee planned and reactive maintenance work. Manage budgets for site-related services and works, ensuring value for money.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Regional Estates Manager and other Trust departments to align local operations with Trust-wide estates strategy.</li>
<li>Set and uphold high professional standards across all aspects of site management.</li>
<li>Promote and model the Trust's core values in all interactions and responsibilities.</li>
</ul>The Ideal Candidate<ul>
<li>Proven experience in facilities or estates management, in an education or multi-site setting.</li>
<li>Strong leadership and people management skills.</li>
<li>Sound knowledge of health &amp; safety legislation and compliance standards.</li>
<li>Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Full driving licence with the ability to travel across sites regularly and work flexibly as required.</li>
