The Risk Oversight Manager will be responsible for identifying, analysing, and managing risks that could impact the organisation's objectives. This role involves assessing financial, operational, and strategic risks, developing risk mitigation strategies, and implementing controls to minimise exposure. The Risk Oversight Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in risk management. The Risk Oversight Manager will work closely with the wider business, to lead the implementation of the risk management lifecycle for both risks and risk events, ensuring a consistent understanding, interpretation and adoption of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and related policies and tools. How you'll do it<ul><li>Manage and develop NHG's risk oversight processes, ensuring consistency and alignment with organisational objectives.</li><li>Provide constructive challenge and independent oversight of directorate risk assessments and mitigation plans.</li><li>Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure risks are understood and appropriately managed.</li><li>Ensure efficient systems and processes are in place for risk data collection, analysis, and reporting.</li><li>Support scenario planning, stress testing, and thematic risk reviews.</li><li>Contribute to the development of governance papers and committee reports, ensuring high-quality and accuracy.</li><li>Keep abreast of sector trends, regulatory changes, and best practice in risk management-translating learning into improved organisational processes.</li></ul>The ideal candidateWe believe great service starts with great people, and we are committed to recruiting and developing passionate, enthusiastic, and talented individuals who can add value to our thriving organisation. Essential:<ul><li>Professional qualification in risk management, internal audit, finance, or related discipline (e.g., IRM, IIA, CCAB, or equivalent).</li><li>Proven experience in risk management, assurance, governance, or internal audit within a complex organisation.</li><li>Strong understanding of risk frameworks, regulatory environments, and organisational governance.</li><li>Demonstrable experience in providing expert challenge and risk insight at senior levels.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear, actionable advice.</li><li>Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience managing relationships at all levels.</li><li>Track record of leading improvements and promoting a culture of accountability and risk awareness.</li></ul>What's in it for you?Once you join us, you'll find plenty of opportunities to grow within our organisation.
