About the role
You will have a chance to work on a range of interesting tasks across projects, at the forefront of the sector–helping to tackle some of the cross-cutting problems impacting infrastructure planning and delivery in the capital by:

 This role requires a strong technical background, with practical experience in GIS tools, ideally ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Online. Experience in the use of: databases (e.g. PostgresSQL); data processing tools; (e.g. FME), Application Programming Interfaces (APIs); and codebases e.g. R/Python would be advantageous. Experience in infrastructure/utilities sector a bonus, but not essential.
What your day will look like
Assisting with the delivery of digital and data support services (particularly the Infrastructure Mapping Application Explorer Tool), including creating mapping visualisations of data in support of the team, and responding to ad-hoc requests and enquiries as required.
Working closely with the team’s and wider organisation’s existing data and technical expertise to help, design, develop, and support tools on behalf of its stakeholders.
Promoting and supporting the use of GIS across the team, including helping professionals from other disciplines to complete mapping tasks and assisting with the delivery of GIS training when required.

Skills, knowledge and experience
To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria:
A strong technical background evidenced by a qualification in GIS (or a related subject) or equivalent professional experience
Detailed knowledge of GIS in practical use, and evidence of commitment to keep abreast of new developments
Experience of working with desktop GIS tools including ArcGIS Desktop
Experience of spatial data conversion tools such as FME, ESRI Productivity Suite would be an advantage

To support the work of the Infrastructure team’s Data &amp; Innovation digital tools (particularly the Infrastructure Mapping Application - IMA), through carrying out spatial analysis, producing innovative, customised web mapping applications and by managing and maintaining databases.
Principal accountabilities
Assist with the delivery of digital and data support services (particularly the IMA), including creating mapping visualisations of data in support of the Unit, and responding to ad-hoc requests and enquiries as required.

You should also have a connection with the Sevenoaks District, for example living or working here. You’ll need to attend around four evening committee meetings each year.

The GLA’s Housing &amp; Land directorate is responsible for the Mayor’s plans to deliver new and improved homes and strong communities. Working closely with boroughs, housing associations, developers and other partners, we manage the Mayor’s housing investment programmes, commissioned services and land and property assets to support the supply of affordable homes, job creation and regeneration.&nbsp;&nbsp;
About the Strategy &amp; Policy team

The Strategy and Policy team is responsible for the Mayor’s housing strategy for London and for developing policy across a broad range of areas including new housing supply, specialist housing, homelessness, rough sleeping, building safety and the private rented sector. In relation to new housing, the team works closely with planning and regeneration colleagues at a strategic level in the pursuit of mayoral and government ambitions for housing delivery. It also leads on policy development and&nbsp;supports&nbsp;government engagement for major housing programmes, including the new&nbsp;10-year&nbsp;Social and Affordable Homes Programme, which is in a crucial stage of development.
About the role
You will lead the Strategy &amp; Policy team to drive forward the Mayor’s priorities for housing and ensure that Londoners have access to safe, decent and affordable homes. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for a team of 20 to deliver the Mayor’s Housing Strategy and respond to London’s housing crisis. You will work closely with the Deputy Mayor for Housing &amp; Residential Development and the wider mayoral team to provide advice on strategy and policy, and support broad engagement with stakeholders – especially government. You will also work closely with senior leaders across Housing &amp; Land, the GLA Group, local and national government and the wider housing sector to support delivery of key housing objectives and programmes through strategic advice, policy development and analysis. About the role

The post holder will be part of the extended ECASS multi-professional team working in Additional Resource Provisions, Units and in Mainstream Primary/Secondary schools. The aims of the Enfield Communication Advisory Support Service (ECASS) are to: 
 
 - Improve provision for pupils with speech, language and communication needs, by providing ARP/Unit and whole school training in class wide and school wide good practice frameworks, enhancing pupils’ school experience and providing them with access to a range of speech, language and communication tools. 
 - Deliver consistent key messages that support early speech, language and communication support through the work programme and resources, making it clear that ‘communication is everybody’s business’. 
 - Promote an early intervention approach to speech, language and communication needs across Enfield schools. This will ensure that children and young people can access communication-friendly environments, and practitioners who are confident in their role of facilitating communication. and The role will support with identifying SLCN, and ensure that parents and carers are supported with appropriate information and resources. 
 - Offer practical strategies and assessment to support children and young people placed in Local Authority ARPs and Units. 
 - Support settings to meet the needs of children with speech, language and communication needs who are not achieving at the same rate as their peers. This will include, improving outcomes for children with emerging or less complex speech, language and communication needs who are likely to catch up with their peers through appropriate focused support, as well as supporting those with long term developmental concerns and children and young people at a statutory level. 
 - Provide ARPs and Units with an appropriate model of supervision and continual professional development for the school workforce

Based at our Sevenoaks office, you’ll oversee frontline housing services, supervise day-to-day casework, and ensure compliance with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and Parts VI and VII of the Housing Act 1996.

As a Situational Awareness Officer, you will serve as the key point of contact for the Greater London Authority (GLA) during your shift, providing vital early warnings, incident monitoring, and maintaining situational awareness on real-time events. You will be tasked with producing accurate, timely, and analytically sound reports in response to unfolding situations, ensuring that decision-makers have the information they need to act quickly and effectively. Additionally, you will work to maintain the flow of information between the GLA, government departments, and other key stakeholders, helping to ensure clarity and consistency in the response to incidents.
In this role, you will build and cultivate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that intelligence, briefings, and reports are delivered consistently and accurately. Your ability to deliver both written and oral reports to senior staff and other stakeholders, while highlighting critical issues and potential impacts, will be essential. Your insight will help shape the GLA's response to various events across the city, making your contribution crucial to maintaining London's operational resilience.

We are one of the two specialist teams within Adult Social Care.&nbsp; Our main functions are under the Care Act 2014, the Mental Health Act and the Mental Capacity Act.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;We work with adults whose primary need is their mental health.
