<h4>Job summary</h4><p>Senior Credit Risk Analysts (‘SEOs’) are expected to work across these three different areas according to business needs, working for the sector head responsible for each. SEOs produce high quality credit risk assessments of proposed transactions and existing exposures. They provide reasoned and evidence-based written arguments to justify their proposed credit ratings (including PDs and LGDs) and must be able to defend their analysis in discussions within the division and at Enterprise Risk and Credit Committee (‘ERiCC’), with the support of the sector heads if necessary. They might also review and advise on the assessments produced by peers within the division and may be granted a delegated authority. </p><p>SEOs are responsible for managing the case work assigned to them and for maintaining effective relationships with Risk Management Group (‘RMG’) and Business Group colleagues, and other associated stakeholders (such as lawyers, policy and ESG colleagues) keeping them informed of progress and issues on case work. </p><h4>Job description</h4><h4>Main Activities</h4><ol><li>Production of high-quality credit analysis (including credit ratings and LGD assessments) on corporate, project finance, aerospace, financial institutions and APM transactions. Coordination of inputs from multiple teams into credit papers as necessary.</li><li>Identification and assessment of environmental, social and governance risks and climate change risks affecting the transactions.</li><li>Attendance at external due diligence and negotiation meetings representing RAD.</li><li>Ensuring proposed business is within UKEF risk appetite and advising on acceptable exposure levels.</li><li>Developing subject matter competence on the team’s various sectors and industries.</li><li>Liaising with exporters, foreign buyers, banks, technical experts, advisers and other stakeholders including leading meetings, usually with senior management to understand the business and transaction structure.</li><li>Interrogation and analysis of cash flow models.</li><li>Critical review of external reports (technical, market, insurance etc).</li><li>Active contribution to the ongoing development of UKEF credit risk policies, procedures &amp; <h4>Job summary</h4><p><strong>About the Armed Forces Commissioner (AFC) </strong></p><p>The AFC is a newly established, dedicated champion for our Regular and Reserve personnel and their families; a landmark step in demonstrating our commitment to supporting those who serve our nation. Acting as an independent champion, the AFC provides a direct route for serving personnel and their families to raise concerns about welfare issues that may impact on their service lives and ability to serve.</p><p>The Commissioner subsumes the roles and responsibilities of the Service Complaints Ombudsman for the Armed Forces (SCOAF), providing independent and impartial oversight of the Service Complaints system. They have the power to help Service personnel access the Service Complaints system, review aspects of the handling of individual Service Complaints, and report on the efficiency, effectiveness, and fairness of the system as a whole.</p><p>They also have the discretion to conduct individual and thematic investigations into specific and broader welfare issues facing Service personnel and their families. The independent reports and recommendations they publish will highlight these issues to Parliament and the wider public, holding the government and the Armed Forces to account.</p><p><strong>About the post</strong></p><p>As an Assessment Team Officer, you will work within the Assessment Team, responsible for processing all enquiries and applications made to the AFC. You will act as the first point of contact for the AFC, providing advice and guidance about the AFC's role including powers to investigate Service Complaints and General Service Welfare matters.
